Ha! That's what I was wondering about myself the past few weeks!

Anyway, my talk went miserable. I had to talk about expressionism in piano music, Schoenberg's Piano Pieces op 11 and Berg's Sonata op 1. The guy who was supposed to do the Schoenberg part, didn't do very much on it, so I had to analyse the piece myself, in half an hour time.
Either way, I was so nervous I took the wrong papers to the stand, and I had been talking for some time by the time I found out.
Luckily we're not graded for it.

aquagoat - 27-3-2006 at 19:42

Poor BBP, you'll do better next time.;) I remember when I had to do this kind of thing, I hated that, I was so shy and nervous, but the more you do it the easier it gets. So "encore bonne chance" for Friday.

Apart from the shark they both are the same Sony Elcaset EL5 Some sort of an extra large compact cassette. The top model misses the part on the right side that opens the cassette.
We had actually a reel to reel tapedeck meeting last saturday In Den Bosch (NL) with aprx. 32 freaks. New was on my invitation the technical man of the Dutch company RMGI (Former PDM) that bought equipment from broke BasF/Emtec and started a tape producing company last year. It seems reel to reel tape lasts forever. Also this day we help other to repair their machines. I repaired a sony en a teac x200r and showed my restaurated 1958 Philips recorder. And for a guy who delivered me the video cartridge for CDI, wich I was missing I drew a sketch to make the part.

Those pics (coincidentally, pik is one of the many Dutch rude words for penis)
remind me of the ones we were shown in biology class when we were discussing VD's. One of them was a guy whose tool was covered with mould and had turned red-white-blue. I remember a discussion between me and the girl behind me which country flag it was representing.

it was close enough-in england they are called "ghostriders"
after the infamous continental bike riding man in black nut case and all round police baiter "the ghost-rider"

but that's only among the biker community that's why maybe not every one knows the phrase

you guys in holland must know of "ghost-rider"-??

BBP - 9-4-2006 at 00:31

OK Thanks! The dictionaries out here didn't list anything of a kind, and translation engines weren't much help either.

PS I thought a ghost rider was actually a phantom chauffeur, like a Transformer or something.

DED - 9-4-2006 at 09:01

Strange that you don't have a common known word for it, since you all drive on the wrong side of the road;-) , I suggest you from now on use the Dutch word "Spookrijder" in the same way as "apartheid" is used worldwide. Consider it as somethig in return for all the English words in the Dutch language nowadays.
To avoid a discussion on left and right. I assume that most people are right handed and operating the gear-shift is in my eyes a more right hand action than opening your window. It is a pity that my self-awareness makes it impossible to drive in England. Once I was in the car of an English supplier of stamping equipment (Paul Sibert with the licence plate 518ERT) in the co-driver seat. The first roundabout somewhere between Gatwick airport and Guildford convinced me not to drive In England. And thats a real pity in itself, Now I'm stucked to London.

Actually it was a New Year's Resolution of mine to cut down on my chocolate eating habits. I did not succeed at all, in fact my chocolate consumption increased a lot, so I decided to give up eating it for a month because I got frightened by my appetite for the brown gold. More on that later.

Not allergic, thank goodness. I'm not too good with peppermint though.

I remember this time riding home from the bus stop after school...nothing but a road and lots of paddocks...sunny...then one giant dark shadow sweeps slowly across the land...and i could see it coming closer...and then it hit, and man! I had to stop riding, it was so hard that it could cause injuries!

yoko - 23-12-2006 at 07:40

sorry, no pic,
these xmas days always got me dpressed
all this bullshit about a caracter invented by cocacola and
the icons and the very old myths and fantasys
the poorest people spend even what they don't have to
but toys and alcohol
and the family reunions always end up like those
movies and theater plays where they say what
they've never sayed but totally drunk
here in the third world it's very important for people to show their fake adquisitive power and to give presents to allready rich people who spend nothing 'cause everything is given to them by those who have nothing waiting for a job or to be noticed
i have a friend whom i work for now and then in his studio
and he spended lots of money in xmas baskets...you know with
wines and caviar and fruit, for the producers who are pretty rich
and i mean rich, here rich people are rich and no jokes, they go to have sushi for breakfast to japan in their private jets,
well he gave those kind of people lots of money in presents expecting to be noticed and have "lots" of job next year,
problem is big companys are managed like bourocratic entities
they care for who suck their asses not for quality or artistic job,
since everything is imported and we are just cheap manual force
there are like ten musical theater plays in mexico city and all of them are bad copies of bad comercial broadway plays like
"grease" or "chicago" or the violinist on the roof" or "cats"
it's for mental retarded people...with all the repect for mental ill people, and the producers only care for the royalties and wait the artists to do the work almost for free, university acting students or pro actors musicians and singers who gave the support for tv soap opera stars who doesn't sing or play or act, with the false promes of having a paper in tv, it's pathetic, and they gave the producers, billionare producers, xmas presents to have job, hahahahahahaha, well i hate xmas

so ma moood is

:pissed:

DED - 23-12-2006 at 14:26

Christmas is as poor as you want it to be
For me The whole christmas crap with peace on earth and Christian claim on the christmas party is totally @#$%^&*
It's is an ancient midwinter party and no more.

Santaklaus is Dutch, a sort of Childrensday at the 5th of december. Sint Nicolas is from turkey, but in our stories he's coming from Spain with black servants and a white horse.
A beatiful story and a great evening with presents, songs and rhymes in wich your behaviour is rewarded or punished.

Santaklaus is stolen by Coca cola and commercialised.
Sinterklaas in Holland is declining for several reasons and Santaklaus is coming up. But not at ours. We are totally under the spell of Sinterklaas. Since more than 13 years every year I am Sinterklaas for friends, work, schools or scouts. ZAZ and BBP are sometimes in the roll of a Boobied Black Peter, Maybe BBP is not a coincedence.
edit: changed some double dutch

yoko - 23-12-2006 at 18:38

well, i know, even asked bbp and did a research and posted it in the zappa forum when bonny posted it and i was interested 'cause it was my bday:

The true story of Santa Claus begins with Nicholas, who was born during the third century in the village of Patara. At the time the area was Greek and is now on the southern coast of Turkey. His wealthy parents, who raised him to be a devout Christian, died in an epidemic while Nicholas was still young. Obeying Jesus' words to "sell what you own and give the money to the poor," Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made Bishop of Myra while still a young man. Bishop Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to the those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.

Under the Roman Emperor Diocletian, who ruthlessly persecuted Christians, Bishop Nicholas suffered for his faith, was exiled and imprisoned. The prisons were so full of bishops, priests, and deacons, there was no room for the real criminals—murderers, thieves and robbers. After his release, Nicholas attended the Council of Nicaea in AD 325. He died December 6, AD 343 in Myra and was buried in his cathedral church, where a unique relic, called manna, formed in his grave. This liquid substance, said to have healing powers, fostered the growth of devotion to Nicholas. The anniversary of his death became a day of celebration, St. Nicholas Day.

but that's not the bussiness in here
anyway, have a nice dinner and hope you enjoy with your family and the people you love, well, only words,
be happy all of you

BBP - 24-12-2006 at 13:26

This morning I started on another newspaper round. It was a tedious job, considering the chill, the fact that I got up at noon the day before and had to rise at 5, I had a cold, it was raining... and my bicycle was falling apart. The bolt of the left pedal has gone missing, so at one point the pedal fell off altogether. Eventually I had to walk back home for a few miles.

I oughta get a new bicycle for this job. Last month I broke the carrier rack (snapped off just like that) and launched my saddle when I attempted to move my vehicle when heavily loaded.

DED - 28-12-2006 at 17:25

I replaced the carrier last time
And for now from the donorbike was so kindly to have the same system, your bike is repaired. But next time your bike fell apart, please take home all the parts.

BBP - 28-12-2006 at 17:47

there's a character on the zappa forum that calls themself 'googly moogly' and it just occurred to me that you yoko might be them. and if that's the case then it would make it easier to talk like a human, here, rather than over on the zappa forum where things can get complicated.:bouncing:

BBP - 11-1-2007 at 18:50

... Were you also behind the theory that Isaac = JPFunk?
;-)

punknaynowned - 11-1-2007 at 19:42

HA! nope!
If you couldn't tell already, I'd rather try to still the waters rather than stir them up.
Now it is true some don't talk until they feel like they have something to say and that involves getting pissed off enough to say something (myself included sometimes) but I got no beef with nobody.

Full disclosure, In the other forum, googly has said a number of things that were directed at me and not exactly praiseworthy. Which is fine. Can't please all the people all the time. But I wanted to talk about it anyway but have decided that the z forum is not the place for it. I got excited because I thought if yoko and googly moogly WERE the same person, then this area might be a gentler arena to talk about things without the peanut gallery of the zappa forum.
If not, no harm done.:-D:-D:-D

I'm OK with that... We had a nasty argument once when he said some nasty things to me. Then there came this thread called: "Lyrics that describe JPFunk" and I put Verbal Abuse's I Hate You, and he reacted: "Mmm, that got me hard! Marry me?" to which I replied "Nah, I'm not a masochist." I forgot what JP said after that.

yoko - 14-1-2007 at 00:39

though i remember
that's when you drawed that pillow fight thing with jayp and issac?
or when you did a thread about wanting to increase you posts,
yeah at the time the zappa forum was very funny in a very nasty way...i loved it...
ohhhh...hahahahahaha...i really enjoyed that jayp and batchain pics,

BBP - 14-1-2007 at 15:21

No that pillow fight came after the zillionth argument between Isaac and JP... It wasn't funny anymore, just boring (which is why they were wearing striped pajamas in that drawing). That fight between me and JP was about post count, yes. But I'm better now.

BBP - 17-1-2007 at 20:31

Ooh, Scallop? I read in the newspaper there was a major electricity problem in Melbourne; did you have any problems? Are they tennis-related?

scallopino - 18-1-2007 at 04:01

Our biggest tennis-related problem is Lleyton Hewitt. :P

Yeah there were electricity problems in Melbourne. Our power goes out quite a bit but we're a fair way from the city. The problems were bushfire-related.

Victoria is having the worst bushfire season ever recorded. There's been almost a continuous smokey haze over the whole state since December. It blocks out the sun and makes it look almost pink. It almost always looks overcast now even when there are no clouds.

punknaynowned - 18-1-2007 at 19:40

They had fires in Colorado and New Mexico a couple years ago. Did the same thing. Camp out high in the Rockies? In the morning everything was covered in a fine layer of soot and ash. Creepy like awakeniing to some post-apocalyptic world . . .:freak:

Test went badly.

punknaynowned - 23-1-2007 at 23:06

that's too bad, hate that when that happens,
but maybe you did better than you thought.
That happens too doesn't it?

BBP - 24-1-2007 at 23:28

Well... It was a music-recognition test. There was this list of 50 pieces, ranging from relatively short piano pieces to complete operas, and if you hear a fragment from it, it's not always easy to tell which is what. The only one I'm absolutely sure is correct, is Webern op 10, Orchestral pieces.

But what really pissed me off, was that I recognized the last fragment but couldn't name it. And I knew that piece very well, due to an overkill of it 3 years ago: the finale of Rachmaninoff's 3rd piano concerto, apparently the hardest stuff there is to play. The name came up after I handed in my answers. Bleh.

Today I'm better, visited my friend. But tomorrow I have a speech in class, and I fear I'm going to fuck up.

aquagoat - 25-1-2007 at 08:40

no no no no no, you're not going to fuck up, everything is going to go well.

BBP - 25-1-2007 at 19:36

It went OK, I presume... except I jumped to the conclusion before I had played the Wagner snippet. My throat hurts from talking.

One of the first cold nights this winter in Holland.
Temperature tonight will fall down to -8 degrees Centigrade.
In the morning we expect snow coming in from the north.
We live in the south so snow will be there hours later.
Day after tomorrow temperature will be above zero.
A winter of one day

BBP - 29-1-2007 at 00:28

Today it was just rainy and a little cold. My throatache is better, but was replaced by a headache two days after, not to mention some other physical inconveniences. I should take better care of myself.

punknaynowned - 1-2-2007 at 02:50

it did snow today and the wind blew but now is calm and still with maybe 4 or 5 cm of snow on everything. I like it. But there were a couple really big car pile-ups on the highway in KC today. One person was seriously hurt. What a mess. We'll see if my scheduled meeting happens. Not because of the bad roads but because of the snow.
I like the snow, but that's probably because I don't drive. :)

BBP - 1-2-2007 at 13:59

I doubt if we'll be seeing any snow until March over here...

But, time for brighter news! I'm going to bake cookies!

yumm yess!!! chcolate chip? my favorite?
where do I sign?

you don't smoke, but you go indoors-and-out all the time (I assume, delivering the papers, going to class . . .), school would be my likely culprit for a cold: lots of other people in enclosed spaces that constantly carries the effluvia of all the coughing, sneezing, snotting groups with the warm interior allowing the stuff to stay dormant long enough to be picked up blahblah
but what do I know? you could be scraping your throat with some metal scrubby that's supposed to be the next electrolyte in your country's mythology:biggrin:

and the tall structure on the hill with the flags is the one landmark that you can see from miles around in these parts. It's just a few blocks up the hill. The hill that's called Oread that happens to be in the shape of a big U. That building is also built on the site of the first building built on that hill 150 years ago. Oread is the word you'd use in ancient greek to name a hill.

Very, very stupid and sleepy. I'm doing a newspaper round again until tomorrow. But up to then... last Tuesday I visited my boyfriend and missed the bus stop on my way, so I had to walk an extra 5 minutes (and it's 30 minutes from his house to the bus stop).
And Thursday was worse. I missed another stop, by train. I needed to get out in Den Bosch, but I was too concentrated on my puzzle and didn't notice the train stalled until it was too late. So I had to travel for half an hour to Utrecht, from there to Nijmegen, cost me an extra hour. Worst part was, when I was travelling from Arnhem to Nijmegen, that it would have been better if I got off in Arnhem and took the bus from there.

Are you being served is stil running on "Een". That is the former BRT Belgian Radio Television (Flemish) and yesterday there was an episode of AYBS onRTL7, a Luxembourg based Dutch Commercial TV Station. After that undoubtly BBC will after his passing away replaying the series again.
So since I believe 1971 the AYBS is broadcasted over 35 years and still pleases a lot of viewers. So without doubt for the next ten years we will see reruns over and over again. In a great mix with
Young ones
Yes minister
Please sir
Keeping up appearances
Dad's Army
Mother, it's hot
Man about the house
George and Mildred
On the buses
Blackadder
Mr. Bean
The Thin Blue Line
The Royle family
CAfe Rene in france, forget the name....Goodmuhning
And many many many more of those beatiful English sitcom's.
They are the masters, Brittannia rules the VHF/UHF waves:mad:

But then again a question.
What was the name of that funny serie that follows up Please Sir and where the Guy who played the teacher in Please Sir was having a restaurant? I can remember the serie but not the name.

I made this today at the request of my father. He will use this for a tape recorder fan meeting next Saturday. It's a patch knitted out of magnetic tape. I had a hard time making it, with ugly and annoying material that tears easily and slides off the needles a little too soon (but if you drop a stitch, you can pick up).

Is that the other side of the country from where you're living? Sure is a long distance...

aquagoat - 13-5-2007 at 08:34

yes it is, I'm on the West coast near Cognac (if you know this town) whereas she's on the North coast, near Belgium. but that's ok cause it only takes about 5H30 to get there by train, and we ain't got the choice right now anyway.

BBP - 13-5-2007 at 16:35

I know Cognac... we've been in the region of La Rochelle... may have even been there.
You sure live close to Fort Boyard!

My boyf is from Bulgaria, which is a beautiful country with lots of forests, some 2000 km away.

aquagoat - 16-5-2007 at 12:36

yeah, I'm now very far away from the fort, but I haven't visited it yet, don't know why.
Bulgaria is really a beautiful country, but yes a bit far from where you live. Is moving an option ?

BBP - 16-5-2007 at 13:04

It's crossed my mind, yeah. Get some money first, then live it up. Bulgaria is the cheapest country in the EU. It's also nearly as poor as Romania. The mafia is very big too.
And visit Fort Boyard! It's beautiful! Fort Enet too, it's near there and sometimes appears in the closing film to FB.

It's somehow appropriate that to hear that song the very day that bastard died! Think of a US Prez going to the graves of Nazi SS elite and honoring them! He should have been flogged! How can they be sure Saddam is dead? There's 8 of him! Hah! There's one for every one of us! They take the money from rich, influential developers and give them the OK to wipe out every grassy park and put up a 5 or 6 level paid parking lot! It's "money + politician = more money from you for developers and politicians." There's a slimy creep everywhere for every political office!

The dog, actually my sister's, all 13 lbs/5.8 kg of him, can't make it through the snow and as good a boy as he is he chose my kitchen - right inside the door - as his litter box so I'd best be careful as I walk around barefoot. I almost wasn't quick enough twice!

I don't know if I like this at this time of year but Sunday it's expected to expected to shoot up to 52°F/11.11°C and rain heavily. Right now it's 24°F/-4.4°C with 6.5" of hard, packed snow on the ground. Shit! If it were only bright enough to get a picture of it with my cell phone I'd shoot it and upload it. ;-)

Whoa... snow... Today I did regret not taking my camera to Utrecht. It's a picturesque city, with narrow curvy streets and beautiful 17th century buildings. Seeing the cathedral all snowy is gorgeous.

But is it just me or do catherals just look creepy, no matter what angle you shoot, how the weather is, or how it is lighted.

the thing I like about cathedrals and such is that they are REALLY OLD. Which I understand can make them seem very creepy. Makes sense to me.

Now, if you can find a REALLY OLD cathedral in Kansas it's the only place to be in the event of a tornado -- if it "really old" then it's been around awhile and that's a hint it'll be around a lot longer. :D

BBP - 29-12-2007 at 13:29

I was wrong bytheway: there is at least one church that doesn't look creepy. Instead, it makes me feel hungry!

In the category "Learned something new today": the Red Square is not named after something Sovietty, but after this St Basil's Cathedral instead. The Russian word for red (krasnaya) also means beautiful, and this was the nickname for the St Basil's Cathedral.

I love the bit on the Simpsons when a hurricane passes through Springfield and then the church billboard says: "God welcomes His victims".

It's a good thing cathedrals are storm proof because you wouldn't want to get hit by a flying steeple. :freak:

BBP - 29-12-2007 at 17:42

Actually, not always. Most large famous cathedrals in N/W Europe (France, Netherlands, Belgium) were built in the Middle Ages, without very little architectural knowledge. Many people have passed away while these buildings were built and collapsed time after time after time. It's how gothic style was invented, where those hideous spider legs are used to build larger structures with the infamous long pointy windows.

The finest example I can come up with is the Dom in Utrecht. The Dom has the tallest church tower in The Netherlands, and this tower is the face of the city. It's everywhere.
In the 1500-1600s, this cathedral stretched a distance of 95 metres.

But now, there is a 50 m large gap between the tower and the rest of the church. 50m of church inbetween, over half of the structure, collapsed during a fierce tornado in 1674. Many churches in the area collapsed.
The Dom was never rebuilt.
For pictures and explanation, ckick http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_Saint_Martin%2C_Utrecht.

For nice pictures (and a truly lengthy tale), try the Dutch version.

No I was in court in Belgium.
In 2007 januari I had forgotten the speedlimit in Turnhout (Belgium).
They have measured a speed of 71 km/hr were 70 was allowed. That results in a 60 euro penalty. I was a little late with the payment (due to the difficulties of paying abroad).
And.... they have lost my payment. That why I was forced to go to court. Finally the judge give m a minimum penalty of 55 Euro and 23 Euro's (partly the cost of court) the already paid 60 euros will be subtracted from that. That will leave to pay 17 euro's.
So I have a record now in Belgium, convicted by the judge.

It's weekly... Don't understand why it takes so long, considering there were 2 weeks between me sending the letter and receiving the "you've won" mail... It took 8 to 10 weeks to publish a letter in 1974, and it takes 12 weeks today.

Who needs Belgium anyway. I've had my license for umm...three years now but I've never been booked or pulled over. It's very difficult to stick to the slow limits when there are 20 cars piled up behind you getting very angry.

I've had people overtake me in a school zone where the speed limit is 40km/h.

Batchain - 13-2-2008 at 15:09

My mood:

I almost gave up! After installing the Mac OS X upgrade "10.5" ("Leopard" -- a mere US $129 plus $5.50 SHIPPING!) absolutely everything began either to freeze or crash. After doing everything possible to get the mess cleared up, even booting in Mac OS X's "UNIX" environment and taking very careful steps there to change preferences, provided by a Mac technician, I was still fucked!!! The only thing left for me to do was to do a clean installation of "10.5" Fine! The only problem was the loss of 207 Gigabytes (!) of irreplaceable data!!! I wanted to take that whole machine and ram it up Steve Jobs' ass!!!
I still can't recall the most irreplaceable data but I'm remembering it as I go along.
No stored usernames/passwords at all, all bookmarks gone, and on and on and on. Aaaaarrrrgh! The only reason I could get in here is my Dell Windows 2000 laptop, currently running now.
I almost forget when it happened which was just over a month ago. This laptop is one rickety old (Released November, 1999!) machine but I fuss over it and do maintenance on it constantly.
(Weather sucks too! Lots of snow, lots of freezing rain, lots of rain, and a whole lot of ICE! It's just 34 degrees F/1 degree C and the snow just turned to rain. And there's still something weird and unsettling about "snow thunder squalls" -- the lightning and thunder in a burst of snow is just plain eerie!)

You said the only thing left to do, I think there was another way.
Lending, hiring or buying a clean disk.
Put it in your machine, make clean installation. Put your old disc in as slave
Pump the data to your new disk
shut down
new disk out, make old disk master
make a clean installation
Put in new disk as slave, pump data back
format the new disk and give it back or sell it or keep it as a clean slave whatever.
Forget all your logins and passwords but 1 (ours)

DED:"Forget all your logins and passwords but 1 (ours)" LOL!:D

Oh, but all the corrupted, screwed-up parts of the System were installed on the internal Hard Drive! Putting the disk in only let me "Replace Current System" and told me, "The current System will be placed in a folder titled "Previous System" and that's still there, with the title "Previous System" but I used an application that comes with the System called, "Migration Assistant" That took all my "Applications" from the "Previous System" folder and copied them to the new System -- only one application didn't recognize my "key code" and I had to buy a new (US $35) "key code" soth that I got all its functions and it didn't open up in 6 days with a window saying, "Your 6-day evaluation period has expired, please contact Lemkesoft for your authorization code." Ugh! More money!:pissed:
So, no disks would have held anything and now I have a 107 GB "folder" marked "Previous System" on my hard drive doing nothing but taking up 107GBs of space on my 250 GB internal hard drive. Blech! Thanks for the attempt to dig me out of the mess, DED! ;-)

Ohhhh, yeah! But finally Apple put out a "point upgrade" that cleaned all, well, almost, all the bugs out of their "Leopard" Mac OS X (10.5) but it wasn't 10.5.1, it was 10.5.2! It was a huge download but it was a perfect system stabilizer!

punknaynowned - 25-5-2008 at 07:36

Well, for one thing, ''Cruisin''' has been a youth-culture pastime for fifty years here. When enough wealth was had in an industrial society that had built enough internal combustion carriages, in this case, to give the teenager in love something to do . . .
'Route '66' is an extension of that. Jack Kerouac 'On The Road', even Nabokov's Lolita . . . Jan & Dean, The Beach Boys. The race on the cliff in 'Rebel Without a Cause'?
Yeah. To do something stupid and see what chance encounters bring.

scallopino - 23-6-2008 at 14:21

Who's saying that? Who exactly is saying "Really I'm fine"? Is it the wooden placard itself? It might be. And is it just using a picture of the upside down cow to ironically express itself? If it is, is the placard even capable of changing its mood? No it isn't. It's ALWAYS not fine.

If it's the cow (actually a representation of a cow) who's saying it, how did it transfer it's message to the placard itself? Clearly the cow is not fine, but how did the placard know that? Maybe the cow made the placard. But that's impossible because the cow is just a picture of a cow and is itself inside the placard.

We must conclude that it was the person who made/bought the placard who is he or she isn't fine (by saying they are fine and juxtaposing it with a dead/inoperable cow). But then the placard should say: "Really...the person who bought/made this is fine" to avoid any possible confusion that may occur. I'm going to send a letter of complaint right now.

BBP - 25-6-2008 at 06:47

The main reason why Dutch are annoying is you can understand what they say, how much trouble they have with cultural differences of the hygienic kind and all that.

Unless you go to a camping with an ANWB sign, where unvariably the most annoying "things for Dutchmen" happen. Like bilingual bingo, though it was fun hearing the lady translate 42 as 24 and getting in trouble afterwards. Or disco.

But the worst we had was when there were 2 vacant spaces with a small hedge separating them, right across from our tent, and a Dutch mother and 2 kids decided it would be fun to play VOLLEYBALL there, which of course was accompanied by heavy discussions on the regulations and on whether a ball was in or out. :pissed:

Telecasters are very versatile guitars. Good ones can play anything.

:P

scallopino - 10-10-2008 at 14:22

Yeah. As demonstrated by Jimmy himself I think.

BBP - 10-10-2008 at 16:40

I think my arm is in front of it in the picture, but Sis decorated it with a Cookiemonster sticker years ago.

Well... it's my sister's... if she wants to paint it, it's up to her.

Aww dear!
I'm suffering a throat ache and am drinking lotsa tea with honey. Apparently tea and honey combine to make hydrogen peroxide.

Huck_Phlem - 11-11-2008 at 05:45

I just found out I can't just give the divorce papers to her and have them filed. No I have to get some asshole process server to do it and pay the cocksucker and each and every one of those cocks get a piece of my pie!

Mother fucking fuck shit fuck!

FUUUUUUCK!

I told you to finesse it.

scallopino - 11-11-2008 at 12:47

It seems you are becoming quite the Simpsons connoisseur Bonny.

Couldn't you mail the papers to her Huck to avoid those motherfucking, pie-getting cocksuckers?

No. That's a law to make sure there's enough work for all the US attorneys.

Huck_Phlem - 12-11-2008 at 03:34

yep just ask frank.

It was a bit warm today... just a bit.

BBP - 21-4-2009 at 10:38

Heard there's a heatwave in Cal, are you all-right?

Anyway I'm getting "harpy" here, these paintings are really getting me nuts.
I've managed to make some development (http://www.worcestershireregiment.com/wr.php?main=inc/em_harp)

Hey! Blinky!

Batchain - 7-6-2009 at 11:29

He looks like a very serious toad. Each eye as intent as the other. Well, I'm very serious too, at least temporarily. It all began just over a week ago when a very lame piece of "shitware" knocked out my saved passports and the ONE site that refused me no matter how I came at it was, none other than, "Zappa-Dot-Com". No variation on "Batchain" (Previously used.) or any of my email addresses was recognized. FUCK! I can see my posts and there's no "banned" designation with my name but the thing refuses me and now automatically generates the message, "Too many attempts made. Try again later." Blah! Results always the same.

Oh dear! Can we help in any way?

punknaynowned - 7-6-2009 at 15:21

this WON'T help, but it is funny and applies directly

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNiO6dCH42Y&feature=rec-HM-r2

can u associate i.e. remember ANY single one of your names with any single actual operating email address?
Or maybe found in an old email inbox, a post sent FROM zappa.com where there may be a link to a place in the site that would allow you to choose a new password etcetc.

You probably alraedy tried it...
good luck

BBP - 7-6-2009 at 22:16

Well Bat, you could start by posting here...

Oh wait, you did. And thank you!

Nope. :( Only three email addresses: my own, "Yahoo!"(since 2001!) and a 3 month old "gmail" which I never used for "Zappa-dot-com". I forget how many "Batchain" variations there were. Just "Batchain1001" which would be current if accessible, there was a "BatchainPhase3" (Or "PhaseIII"?) and then the first "Batchain" that I can't remember if it was just "Batchain" or I stuck something on the end of it like, "Puller".

Well, I might not show as "banned" but effectively I'm no different and might as well be. Five emails to "webmaster@zappa.com" and doody poop! Assholes! It even specified, "contact if you are visually impaired and can't read the captchas". Is that the only reason? Does my email to "webmaster" just get auto-deleted? Aaaarrrgh! I'm going to piss! After signing up in August 2002 I'm "deleted meat"!!! Fucking pricks! Ohhh! Do they ever deserve a huge "Battie Award" those dildo-headed fuckers!
Well, thanks for trying to help, punknayowned, but I think I'M FUCKED! (Not in any good way either!)

The webmasters there do piss me off but I know it's not personal. They're a fucking useless lot and I can't imaging them ever bothering with my shit. Yeah, i saw the huge spamming there and if that doesn't get their attention nothing I ever send will. They can all EAT MY BATTY AWARD for what I care!

Hrmmm! I can't verify that! :-D

Oh, and now that asshole with all the forum names from, "Zombie2010" to "Saggy Nuts" to "Diesel Dummy" and a lot more than I can remember is now showing up as "Batchain100 1"! Notice, if you will, that it's not "Batchain1001" -- the name I lost because of the "system" -- but, "Batchain100 1" with that gap in the last number. He's the first one that I've actually wanted to smash his fucking face into a brick wall and scrape it there like using a pencil eraser! HE'S A STOOL!

Hey! I just got called "ugly" by on of the Indians using one of the "What do you think of.......?" "Fecesbook" apps.

I don't know how it suddenly all happened but I got "friend" requests from all these Pakistanis and Indians whose English was so bad it had to have been being pulled right out of a Pashto/English and Urdu/English dictionary just as they spoke. It was "Bilal Afridi" who was right there chatting me the very second I got on no matter when I got on. Well, I did a very good job of answering someone ("Bilal") whose English was nearly incomprehensible. E.G., "That go to my heart warm good, George" was one of the easy ones! But on (ahem!) "Fecesbook" the "George is ugly!" came from a non-friend. Strange that would happen!
Well, some people have their nerve!:pissed:

--Bat/Geo

Huck_Phlem - 21-11-2009 at 03:34

Well then Bonny why don't you draw us a picture of him (sans the duck bill). :D

I try not to accept friend requests from people I don't know! I have been chatting a lot with Ed Mann the last couple days and I hooked him up with some music connections though. He's a hell of a nice guy!

BBP - 21-11-2009 at 14:54

I could! I've drawn him once before... And I made a billed version out of him once, as a present for his name-day. Which is coming up again.

Huck_Phlem - 22-11-2009 at 04:17

Today I decided to look at that picture again... and discovered it's a GUY.
Armed with this information, I searched again, and found this:

So it's symbolic of both David and the Matthew gospel... humm... I still couldn't find proper ID.

knowing my luck the guy with the pen when I need a tracheotomy will have one of those expensive bourgeois fountain pens and won't give it up for the emergency procedures about to be performed.

Batchain - 9-3-2010 at 07:52

I usually can sniff out the really expensive ones. Like the one I found on an old FZ Forum member whose pic I have here. I know I have the clearest pic of him as you can see from the pic below.
