My most recent funny purchase

DED - 3-4-2007 at 22:20

Place here youre recent funny purchases

Today I bought a "centenbakje" (coincollector) When you will/have visit(ed) Amsterdam you probably know what I mean.
Made from copper (yellow and red) a little oval shaped half covered container with an eye to hold it. Owners of a barrel organ
collect money with this. As you know I haven a 8-track cassette with barrel organ music. The only thing you miss is the sound of a shaken "centenbakje"
I wil make a picture for you in a short time.

For some it is not a suprise
My last buy was a ...taperecorder no.106 to be precise.
Its a beautiful 250$ worth Akai GX77 together with over 30 tapes, user manual, and the dustcover. Works fine this little machine.

Qnd another famous buy is remote sensors for remote control of light, pc etc. 433Mhz. What fails is the remote control so BBP has to turn of the light manually ........:pissed:

Grundig ts 340

xcygnus1 - 8-11-2007 at 05:00

Ded,
I have a Grundig TS 340 Deluxe that still powers up and is well preserved. I only have a schematic and don't know how to even spool the tape correctly.
How much are these machines potentially worth?

Difficult to put a price on. With the original user manual, microphone(s) wind up reel and without scratches on the dustcover, Prices can go up to 75 EURO. The plain machine nice and working I would say 25 to 40 Euro.
But if you sell it on Ebay.de, Prices can ingrease Germans are very fond of collecting reel to reel machines.
Akai's in the 600 series and Philips 4520 (the good 26 cm reel machines) can go up to 200- 300 Euro
For a TEAC 1000, or 2000 (black) as in the movie "Pulp fiction"can go up to 1000 and more Euro's.
Revox in Holland is not populair, but In Belgium they are very fond of Revox.
Valuable 18 cm machines are for instance the AKAI GX77 wich wil do around 160 Euro's.

The Grundig TS340 de luxe is rare, but there are a lot rare machines in the segment "portable" 18 cm reels with tubes.
I know someone who was interested in my machine, but maybe he knows what I've paid. There is some emotional interest in this machine.

It is not difficult to operate a reel to reel recorder, in fact it is simular to cassettetapeplayers.

A chocolate insert for our Senseo
