We're deep in talks regarding when to commence our Christmas/New Year 22/23 Zappadan.....
FZ's birthday, the first day of the holidays, which is the 23rd/24th this year or Christmas day.....
There was even some loose talk about December 1st or the anniversary of FZ's death,
both of which are now moot.....

Myself, I want to get started ASAP.....

Good evening citizens and welcome to a stormy Friday night awaaaaay on down in paradise.....

That's right, summer is over, we had a week or so, and now winter is back baby.....

It was fun in the morning, the rain was soft and warm.....

By midday a freshly refrigerated southerly blast turned that rain to ice,

the office cooled down fast, the emergency thermal underwear was deployed and the winter jacket donned,

I held off on the FZ Beanie, until about 2:00.....

Made it home to a roaring fire, which was nice, but may have been a little over th' top kneejerk reaction to the wintery weather surprise.....

The valley is topographically sheltered and will take a day or two to chill right out, unless we get that rarest of beasts, the direct hit.....

But, until then, our wet weekend starts now.....

Now that we're nicely warmed up.....

The storm passed away at about 4:00am with a ghost awakening thunder clap,

where summer appears to have returned.....

Up early for a quick trip to the mushroom field(s), hit the jackpot,
mushrooms on toast for breakfast.....and maybe lunch.....

But, until then, this could be greasier than goose poop on a pump handle.....

Eased into the indoor/outdoor flow and popped out onto the deck.....
gave the outdoor speakers and local birdlife a gentle welcome to summer.....

the sun's shining the birds are singing and the dollar is dropping, it's paradise I tell ya.....

After an initial flurry of activity first thing, the balance of the day was spent investigating,
via YouTube, the, as it turned out, myriad of opinions regarding the history(s) of the sphinx
and pyramids in on and around Giza.....

Quite an entertaining rabbit hole.....
