Deep Purple "best of".
Gotta go now, supper's ready.

BBP - 13-10-2005 at 16:58

-Look for an on-line picture you like.
-Right-click it
-In the pop-up menu, look for the properties-option (or something similar, depending on your browser)
-Somewhere in the properties-section, you'll find the word "location", behind it is a long internet name.
-Copy this location
-In the Forum message composer, click the "image"-thingy.
Alternatively, type [img][/img] which I find easier.
-In between these two tags, paste the location of the picture.
-Click Preview to see if it works.
-Post if it works, and voila!

I'm not sure with this board, as the instructions are unclear, but on the Zappa.com board, you seem to be restricted to JPG and GIF-files.

James - 13-10-2005 at 18:12

I dunno really, BBP but you can also upload photos too :)

James - 13-10-2005 at 18:12

PNG works

So, no need to worry.

Sachi Hayasaka : Minga

Sachi Hayasaka is one of Japan's most creative composer/performers, a bandleader, arranger and soloist of great passion and originality. Her beautiful sound and adventurous projects have made her, along with Kazutoki Umezu, one of the busiest and most respected saxophonists in Tokyo. For this latest project, she augments her regular ensemble with some of Japan's best world beat musicians and an exciting African drummer Wagane Ndiaye Rose in an eclectic blend of world music and jazz. Minga is Sachi's most dynamic and satisfying musical statement.

...great album.....

He's won! Now we're listening to some silly Sousa march.

jewish_princess - 28-10-2005 at 20:05

Not listening to but reading lyrics to Zappas unreleased 'Solitude' anyone actually heard this track?

Lyrics are quite diverse compared to other Zappa compositions
:umm:

Pappawas1975 - 28-10-2005 at 20:06

Never heard of it? What era is it from?

jewish_princess - 28-10-2005 at 20:14

I have to be honest I have no idea:puzzled:
will do some research and let you know

jewish_princess - 28-10-2005 at 20:43

Solitude was from 1970's and written for Gail by Frank
Here are lyrics:

You have brought me solitude,
And I believe it is the time for me to show some gratitude.
I think I'll take a minute to reflect upon your attitude,
But most of all I love the way that you have brought me solitude.

You have been a friend to me,
And I believe it is the time for me to show some sympathy.
I watch the way you suffer with the problems only I can see,
But most of all I love the way that you have been a friend to me.

You have been misunderstood,
And I believe it is the time for you to feel the way you should.
I'd love to see you smile a while and know that you was feeling good,
But mostly I regret the way that you have been misunderstood.

You have been a friend to me,
And I believe it is the time for me to show some sympathy.
I watch the way you suffer with the problems only I can see,
But most of all I love the way that you have been a friend to me.

You have brought me solitude, you have brought me solitude ...

Pappawas1975 - 29-10-2005 at 12:03

BBP - 29-10-2005 at 16:18

Great lyrics, thanx Princess!:bouncing:

Right now, I've dug up my Possessed Beyond The Gates vinyl, with that awesome folding package.

BBP - 29-10-2005 at 22:53

The Exorcist which my father is watching for the zillionth time. They're just getting the devil out. Sounds a little like Possessed.

Nice... Strange to hear those tear-gas grenades on Cocaine Decisions. Also loved FZ laughing his ass out during Bobby Brown and Keep It Greasey.

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 14:18

See? Im getting better at this computer lark....

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 14:28

Did you use a picture from a weblog or something? They tend to disappear somewhere between previewing the post and the actual posting.

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 14:29

Just from a site, right click, copy, ctrl + v in this box......I never have any problems over at zappa.com, but here they tend to fuck me around!!!

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 14:31

Yep, my photo tends to dissappear as well, and that one's on my own site.

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 14:32

Strange.....computers are wierd man....

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 14:55

Yes... they're weird.
Right now, I've dug up my recent purchase again. I'm now listening to Saint-Saëns's 1st symphony... wow.

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 15:00

Just noticed I'm about to reach the magic 100 border...

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 15:03

We should get a prize when we reach 100....I think I was up way past 2000 on zappa.com, when their server went down, then I had re-enlist....Not that it mattered, but it was a pain in the ass cos the site was fucked up for a good while...

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 15:15

That was a pain in the ass... I had just started getting into the Forum, had a lot of nice pictures up... That Trendmonger story about his vacuum cleaner is lost forever now...

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 15:29

At least it seems back to normal now....

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 15:34

The time is still messed up, them posts are still missing, my PM's still don't work... Nothing has happened about it, but in the two months since the crash things have started to look normal again.

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 15:36

I hadnt noticed that. As soon as my posts started to be ok on there I just assumed it was fixed......Guess the time is no biggie, but you would think the pms should work....?

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 15:41

I'd just started using PM a lot, had contacts with 5 other members, primarily about ducks and ZPZ. I've lost about 50 PM's, one of them an account by Sebastiaan on his interview with GZ, DZ and AZ. I really regret losing that one.

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 15:46

Hey... my latest post doesn't appear on the Chit Chat page... What's up with that?

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 15:49

Things are starting to go funny......I was getting alot of "cannot find server" notices just now....

BBP - 2-11-2005 at 16:41

HELP! Dad's put on Golden Earring!

Pappawas1975 - 2-11-2005 at 16:43
