Now showing up in the goose Theatre
Fanfare 1958
Fanfare is the second best Dutch film after Turkish Delight.
(Measured visits in Holland)
As Fanfare is published in 1958 this must be a special movie.
The movie in The Theatre was a Dutch television rip. We added the subs to it.
The story is playing in Lagewiede ( in Real Giethoorn) Known as The Northern Venice.
Plot is about the Band, and the struggle between two bandmembers and competitors with their bars/restaurants. The fight causes a split in the band.
Giethoorn nowadays

Charming! what a delight. I feel like I've learned a lot and from a comedy! How were the subtitles added so expertly?
And I had assumed small towns built around canals like this may at one time been common, this movie captures them at a pivot in the transition to more
urban times... after the world wars
what a great story!!!

We have subtitle workshop to add our own, but in this case I used a ready made file. Could not get a dvd rip, just a tv rip.
In this rip we missed a piece of film. I thought 4 seconds so I made the goos picture lasting for four. Than it appear to be six seconds so I added 2
seconds black. Then with any video converter I converted everything. I plan to do the same thing eith a dutc VHS copy of "High heels, real
love"for wich movie I also found the subs. I can correct the movie with a few seconds is it more than I have to change all the start and stop
times.
