Who's Johnny Diesel? Why would people be disappointed to see him onstage? |
Johnny Diesel, aka Diesel is a great singer and guitarist. I think probably people in the audience aged 40-50 would have loved seeing him there and
knew exactly what he is capable of. The main reason he was there was because he and Dweezil are good friends.
Myself, being young (!) I only really know him for his song "Tip Of My Tongue" (see link below), which i love from my childhood and always sing along
whenever it comes on the radio. I also knew that he was considered a pretty great guitarist. I was never a big fan because i'm the wrong age and never
really bothered to check him out.
ANYWAY, I was slightly disappointed because i knew he played in Sydney or wherever and i thought maybe they would have someone different for
Melbourne, seeing Melbourne is the biggest musical city of Australia. The perfect guest for ME would have been someone like Nick Cave; this would have
FLOORED the entire audience. But i guess that's a pretty outlandish request.
Here is "Tip of My Tongue" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePWpolxEKiw&feature=PlayList&...

Okay, so Zap is going to tour Europe again, this fall.
Three things spring to mind:
A. Great to have them back again so soon!
B. Poster looks good and promising.
C. Hengelo? HENGELO? Shrinking venue size ever more...

Hey Punky, it seems that XMB doesn't like commas in urls. I could only get your link to work by copying it in it's entirety and pasting it in a
browser window.

Hey, it works if you put it in url brackets.

Not sure about Roxy.
Anyway, I can get the day off next month (although if somebody breaks a leg it might be cumbersome). The programme will, among others, contain a
start-to-finish play of Apostrophe (').
What IS it about that? Playing albums in their entirety?
