Zappa Montreux

As you pop lovers all may know at the concert of Frank Zappa in the casino in Montreux in 1971, a fire broke out, to which the world owes this horrible (well i think it is horrible anyways) Smoke on the water song that sticks in your head like a goowy blob.
But you do not know who caused it. Well I'm sorry to disappoint you because I also do not know that. But I do know the circumstances that caused all this.
Because I always go to the famous Amsterdam brown cafe Oporto with my friends and after a while you start to know the regulars, and in the end you become a regular yourself, that is what you have to try to avoid. Well anyways.
There is always a woman there from Sweden, with very long long hair and some people say that she used to be very pretty. Much to my amazement, she appeared to speak Czech. "Why, why, why?", I said, to which she replied "Oh it was such a long time ago." She also said that she has slept with Frank Zappa when she was a Zappa groupie. That was hard to believe, partly because she drinks soooo much and that as a consequence she is not so pretty anymore.
I sort of later hooked up with a Czech man because I speak a little (no really a little) Czech. And they appeared to be married. Not anymore but they used to be. And they have a beautiful daughter, not the smartest but very nice. She speaks Dutch as any native Amsterdam person even though her father is apparently Czech and her mother is apparently Swedish.
Well that father struck me as a very intelligent man. He has a few wisdoms that he likes to share with the world: things like "Bankers and politicians will never die". and "Destruction is construction. And the other way round. Construction is destruction". I later found that this is all True.
Anyways he also told me that he was at the Montreux festival together with the Swedish woman and his Czech friend. I'm not sure but I sort of remember it like he met her over there for the first time. That sounds logical to me because at the time, Czechs could relatively freely move to Switserland because that was independent and the regime was a little more relaxed .
As all Czechs do, they drank too much at the festival. You would do so to, if you lived in such a place. And as a consequence, his Czech friend thought; "hey... ... why don't I fire this ... flare gun. That ... sort of fits ... the moment." And not long after that, the three of them had to run away in order to not be caught.
Well it certainly fitted the moment. Otherwise we would never have this great song. (ugh) . May be he should be punished for that?
