I obviously know that Father’s Day is in September in Oz. Out of the US, UK & OZ, historically, the US was first to celebrate Father’s Day and
the UK later borrowed the date. Then down the track, Oz did its own thing. Mother’s Day in the Uk goes back to the 16th century and is based on a
religious thing, where the date is calculated according to principles similar to those for Easter, so it’s quite variable.

I'm terribly sorry for all sane Americans...
Just got back from looking after my sister-in-law's cat for a few days. I've wanted a cat for more than 30 years and this gave me the confidence to
get one even if I would lead a single life.
BF and I are still going strong though, we've known each other for 10 years now.

whoo that weather's intense! Shame about the jetties...
It's the week in which I have my demon, the dreaded emergency phone service. Basically it means I'm on call during closing time, or 24/7. I didn't get
any calls at night this time but it messes with your brain.

Survived the emergency phone once again. For the next days it will be 35+ degrees C. Luckily Dad learnt a lesson from his heat stroke and he's going
to keep a low profile.
