Pop singer Connie Francis has died at 87. The first female singer to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100, she was
known for her hit single "Who's Sorry Now?" and for singing the theme song and appearing in the 1961 film, Where the Boys Are.
When I was a little kid, I saw Connie Francis appear on The Ed Sullivan Show. I mistakenly exclaimed to my parents that Aunt Catherine (Dad's sister)
was singing on television. I always got the best Christmas presents from Aunt Catherine, after my parents told her about this.

Lucia de Berk (62). She was a Dutch nurse who was convicted for the murder of 7 babies with nothing but statistical "evidence" and was jailed unjustly
for 10 years, in what is considered one of the largest miscarriages of justice in The Netherlands. Reading the case story is reminiscent of a witch hunt.

Very sad Supertramp was huge for us in the 70's and 80's...Goodbye Stranger was my theme song for years when I was a player, because I surfed everyday
I could and after spending the night with a lady I was out the door before the butt crack of dawn to head to the beach for some dawn patrol

June Lockhart and Frank Zappa appeared together on the television show What's My Line? in 1971. During the episode, Zappa was the mystery guest, and
he tried to stump the celebrity panel, which included Lockhart, Gene Rayburn, Arlene Francis, and Soupy Sales. Soupy Sales was the one who correctly
