Yes he said he was anyway! Blatant press stunt! We saw their first UK tour, back in 1990 or something, and Glen Benton came out to their sordid, cheap
looking people carrier out front of the venue. Instead of being cool with us fans who were already outside the show, he went to the van pretending to
be REALLY EVIL and PISSED OFF, opened the boot, took a sports bag out, then SLAMMED the door shut, and walked REALLY EVIL - STyle, back into the
venue. We all just laughed, was quite embarrasing really.
The next night in Bradofrd, his bass was stolen and was nearly beatne up outside the gig for being an idiot - Not by the Christians though, but by
people who just thought he was a dick! Great days and great shows though, gotta say Deicide did kick ass that night.....
Giant Robot kills by the way aqua....

That Benton's always made me laugh so much, he's so ridiculous, too bad, cause it's true Deicide was a cool band.
And yes, Giant robot's quite a good record, plus, it cost me nothing cause I downloaded it-you cannot find it anywhere anyway.

On first listening this is a good album, despite the mixed reviews. I enjoyed it.

Yeah, Venom sounds awful, the drums are... well let's not talk about the drums, they're too crappy, but you're right, you can't resist.
I remember when my ex-girlfriend bought it in 1989, we couldn't stop listening to it and doing the evil sign with our fingers when Cronos sang "In
league with Satan", "Welcome to hell" or "Witching hour"( which is still a song I'd like to cover with a band, one day). Those were the days when we
were young and wild.
"Tribute"'s the second Ozzy album I bought after "No rest for the wicked". That's really a great album for Rhoads fans (which I'm not really), I
especially like Ozzy's approach to it, releasing it long after Randy's death. That's really a sign of respect for the boy, I think, so many other
people would have released it just after the tragedy to make big bucks, record executives, for example.

Not a Rhoads fan? Thats interesting. As far as live rock albums go, its a stormer I think. Never really heard "No rest....", apart from the singles
that came from it, and after that record I kinda gave up on Ozzy solo stuff.....
Ended last night cranking this baby -

Let me make it clear, Rhoads was a great guitar player but Wylde influenced me more with his aggressivity on the instrument.
That slayer record, what can I say, it's a classic.
