Especially if you had to pick up each piece of confetti individually. Is there a theme for it? It seems there's a few sea creatures.

There is a theme for it... a theme which can be interpreted in many ways.
There are several carnaval societies, they're usually the ones with the big cars. The sea creatures were all part of one mayor group (and they
nearly made me cry with nostalgia when they played the theme from the Snorks).
Another theme was the recent mayor election (the Leen and Rob, second-last pic). Leen Verbeek and Rob van Gijzel were both competing to be elected to
be the new mayor of EHV, but there were much too little voters to make it legit. Reason why: both candidates were members of the same political party.
The Devils theme was picked by an organization for mischievous youngsters, made me smile. There was also a medieval theme, with hickories, knights, a
castle and the dragon. And a cannibale theme.
But the sea creatures turned out to be the better pictures, that's why there are so many of them.
People can also walk on their own, or in small groups.
Contestants are grouped based on size, and winners are picked in each category. In total there were 61 parade units.

Why is the world so changing rapidly. On my first computer I saw A: after starting it up with a 160k single side single density floppy.

It sure beats the local Yakkerboo Festival, which doesn't really celebrate anything and doesn't make any sense, and is really cheap overall:

Well there is a lot of difference in holland too.
It is only kept in the south of the country where most people have a roman catholic background, at least they know how a church look from the inside.
But there is also a big difference in places. In Helmond (a 70.000 inhabitants) placenear Eindhoven almost everyone is celebrating it everywhere. In
Eindhoven itself it is kept mostly in cafe's hotels and so on.
The parade in Eindhoven is more commercial and therefore more money and nicer groups and cars. The parade is kept on saturday. In Helmond the parade
is larger but without any commercials and more simply groups. It is held on Sunday. When you see both parades you see an enorm difference.
By the way car 14 is from Carnavals club :Hendig Zat
That means at much as "handy as it is"or "Quickly drunk"
The theme was "Quickly drunk has sunken deeply" That's why the theme was so fishy.
