scallop, that's an Allman Brothers song!
but you're kinda on the right track.
Does it help if I said I had the song in mind before I went looking for the image?

Stuff Up The Cracks? I really have no idea. What is it a picture of? A pink letterbox with bunny ears is what i've been thinking.

Absolutely Free and Stuff Up The Cracks both work really well for this, I agree.
But it's not what I was thinking of.
You both have guessed three times.
Give up?
I think I'm not very good at this game . . .
:-(

I took the picture at face value.
Somewhere I think there is someone who uses those Official US Postal Service envelopes to make art on and then posts them up on the street. Illegally, because they can.
Not exactly, high art obviously, a cute kind of vandalism (because it is intentionally impermanent) but that doesn't matter.
But so far, reading the thing for what it is, at face value. It has its own context that is not on the internet and is described as such on the item itself.
On the other hand we are posting notes on the internet in a frame that is already established as is. There's no defacing of anything, except for content which is text and images. No drawing or coloring outside of the lines here, so to speak.
I can't really be more explicit.
(:

what I did not consider when I posted this was that y'all are not use to seeing US Postal Service envelopes all over, all your life, like I do here.
More unfeeling Ameri-centrism:rolleyes:

I work in a restaurant and made up a joke there. Acadian 2 may think it bland (:

I get a container of dijon mustard and show it to someone and ask, "Do you see this mustard?"
and when they reply in the affirmative, I answer "Dijon view."

Most often I get a quizzical look. They didn't get it. So sometimes I tell them simply, it gets better the more often it's told. Lately I've taken to showing them the mustard when they remark that they have deja vu. Even then sometimes they don't get it.
and these are smart people.

did you ever have a waiter ask "two for lunch" and reply "Huh, no actually, were here for a bowling game"...

Meanwhile...
