My pop music teacher did claim to be a Zappa-fan. She once read from RFZB in class.

Agree... though sometimes my music teachers amaze me, like my theory teacher (nice, but a bore to be taught by) when he said he saw Hendrix live and
loved it. I'm now busy getting the 20th century classic man (a Cage fanatic) to help me with my Zappa-thesis.
