The ZFT

Your opinions? I can't really say anything as Gail will probably sue me for slander . Anyway, I will say this:
I don't think the ZFT are being very FZ. I think they're releasing this 'new' material for money, not because Frank would have wanted it heard. These friggin' compilations they keep releasing need to stop, I WANT NEW MATERIAL!

Most of the compilations were released by Rykodisc without any involvement of the ZFT. Gail Z. herself has even complained about that in various interviews.

However, I do feel that they often are doing quite a disservice to FZ's legacy. I've been a fan for more than 10 years, and we've heard empty promises from them for as long as I can remember. They don't owe us anything, but over the years, we've been promised tons of new stuff (Dance Me This, Trance-Fusion, Petite Wazoo concerts, the Roxy DVD, a subscription service, etc. etc.) and time and time again, they fail to deliver the goods. If there are financial or legal problems that keep them from releasing those products, they should just be honest in their communication with the fans instead of dangling it in front of us like a carrot on a stick. I'm not even touching all the problems surrounding the ZPZ tour.. I bet that was the final straw for a lot of hardcore Zappa fans.

I'm sure these are good people and I do feel that some of the posters over at Zappa.com are extremely blunt in their criticisms, but the ZFTs business practices just suck. I

As much as I like Corsage and Domage, I agree, the ZFT havent really put out anything amazing since FZ:OZ / Halloween / Quadiophilliac.....One cant help but wonder they couldve made more wiser choices.....Lets hope they redeem themselves in the future, as theres tons of stuff crying out to be released...

Yes... Anyone ever bought a Joe's Garage JIGSAW???!!! Who'd buy such a thing? I like jigsaws, really, but one with Zap? It looked very tough, all that brown, the mop... Besides they didn't mention the amount of pieces in it, which is very essential information when you buy a jigsaw.

Yeah, or what about those handknitted Diva Zappa wool hats... Rumor has it that they are exact replicas of the one Ian Underwood wore on the '73 tour. Get yours today, completists..

For $200 a piece? Hmm... maybe I should tell grandma to sell her knittings on the Internet.

Bizarre..

"In addition, "KISSŪ Kasket" can also be used as a Giant KISSŪ Cooler, enabling fans and their friends to enjoy ice-cold sodas and beer served directly from the ice-filled, completely waterproof "KISSŪ Kasket."
