Ha! Yeah, there was always a coupla points where I just had it with the fantasy crap...
Now I've started wrestling through Ted Gioia's History Of Jazz, for college... It's the third time I have to read it, but I haven't actually read it
yet. It's boring...
Class was nice last Thursday. We got to listen to Sun Ra.

Ive done that before. Its like you think, well, Ill give it another shot, only to find that you were probably right in the first place! I should give
Finnegans Wake another try, come to think of it....

That's a nice book, though indeed at times ununderstandable... Kinda like Dostoyevski's Memoires from a Basement.
No wait. That is entirely incomprehensible.

finished it and it was very good.....I think you may have to have at least a slight interest in football though, which I do, and it was an enjoyable
book.....

I'd hate to say it but Gioia's book sucks.. always a bad sign when authors manage to make an interesting subject boring. Alyn Shipton's "New History
of Jazz" is much better, more interesting and more enjoyable. Of course as a huge jazz fan, I'm pretty biased. It really helps to know the records and
artists they are writing about.
Hey kids! Do you hear that sound? . . . Freaks will be coming from miles around!

Well I used to be a soccer fan, but it's very much diminished now... though I do support PSV Eindhoven strongly. Not that I know who is in it...
Still on Hobbit, hope to finish it tomorrow... Nice book, really.
