The infamous "What album did you last buy" thread..
Figured Id start this one fo yo asses....Mine was this

Chris Brown is a San Francisco based composer who stands firmly in the tradition of West Coast innovators like Terry Riley and James Tenney. Rogue
Wave, his first CD in almost a decade, is one of his best —a startling retrospective spanning over twenty years of activity. Six dynamic pieces
featuring a wide range of sound sources and compositional styles, from angelic choirs of electronically altered pianos, to hardcore hip-hop
transmissions and polyphonic noise symphonies. This important new release places Brown at the forefront of new electronic composition, and finally
sheds long overdue light on an important innovator whose work has been unjustly marginalized for years.
Personnel:
David Abel: Violin
Chris Brown: Computers, Live Electronics, Gazamba Percussion Piano, Rods On Steel Plate, Orchestral Synthesis
Julie Steinberg: Piano
Toyoji Tomita: Bass Trombone
William Winant: Percussion, Vibraphone, Bull-roarer
Guillermo Galindo, computers
DJ Eddie Def: Turntables
Cenk Ergun: Computers
Patrice Scanlon: Computers
Jonathan Segel: Computers
Tadashi Usami: Computers

HERR | The Winter Of Constantinople
Steeped in tragedy and legionary heroism, this musical odyssey recreates the penultimate 1453 siege of the Byzantine capital beside the shimmering
waters of the Bosphorus. A neo-classical cocktail of atmospheric keyboards, cello and pounding drums frolic alongside militaristic anthems about
European imperium, hooliganism as modern warfare, vanquished heroes, Turkish hordes, architectural majesty and defiant optimism. The diverse lyrical
styles and sheer breadth of instrumentation on this release make it one of the most original and captivating albums of the last few years.

Nah, keep the descriptions coming. I like to read that kind of stuff and I'm a record nerd myself. That first album is on Tzadik, I guess?
Gonna pick up some new albums tomorrow, last week I bought 'Where's Brooklyn?' by Don Cherry.
Hey kids! Do you hear that sound? . . . Freaks will be coming from miles around!

Has all 5 symphonies (2 unpublished ones), all 5 piano concertos, three violin concertos and several orchestral pieces (like my fave, Africa).

VA - 'Steel Night' 4 x CD + poster boxset (Cold Spring CSR50CD)
On the night of 29th November 2001, as part of the STIGMA 2001 FESTIVAL in London, COLD SPRING had a night of their bands playing. As a surprise on

acts were digitally recorded by Stephen Meixner (CONTRASTATE). For this set, each CD is packaged in its own card wallet, in its own camouflage, inside
a shrinkwrapped 'clamshell' style box. The set is made complete with a foldout poster of images all the bands that played this STEEL NIGHT.
All design and aesthetic control was created by Allon Kaye, SOFT CELL's designer and graphic designer for Some Bizzare.

I've never even heard of the guy (?), but I must admit that I'm an ignoramus when it comes to classical music.
