I have all the King Crimson Albums from a previous remastered series. I've been a fan since my late teens.

Yes, I've got most of them on cd already, but I've wanted to buy them with the new mix by Steven Wilson, for a long while. Some of these records are
really outstanding. Yes, great christmas present, I think.
Bonny, you should get Starless and Bible Black, Red, Larks tongue in Aspic and Discipline, imo.

The first
three are my favourite pre Belew albums as well. Discipline is a good Belew era album, but Power To Believe is a monster.

Hee, no, I didn't realize that, sorry. Bonny, I'd be really glad to send
you Starless, Red and Thrak. Actually, this is what I'm gonna do as soon as I've received the new versions.

my favourites are definitely Lakrs Tongues, Starless and Red. I like the Belew era stuff too, but the production sounds so dated and thin in
comparison to the previous and the following stuff, imo.

Damn, these 5.1 mixes are awesome! There's such better clarity, definition and spacialization, I can clearly hear stuff I'd never heard before. I'll
probably get the Yes remixes in the future.

The Blues and the Abstract Truth. That's a good one. I've had that for a while. I got it when I found out about the Stolen Moments connection. Have
you got any of Eric Dolphy's albums?

Yeah, I've always liked the Zappa rendition of Stolen Moments on TBBYNHIYL, but I'd never heard the original. So I finally did that a few months ago,
and really liked the rest of the album. Plus, when you see the people who play on it, it would be a crime not to give a listen. And in addition that,
it was only 3€, so what's not to like about all this?
Concerning Dolphy, yes, I've got some of his stuff: copies of Straight Ahead and Far Cry, and a CD of Out to Lunch, I should probably listent to more
of his music since appreciate these three records. He and Ornette Coleman are some of the jazz guys I should delve a bit more into.

So you've obviously listened to the track Straight Up and Down on Out to Lunch. Am I the only one that thinks that inspired the Memorial Barbecue?

Well, I guess we can establish links between the two but The Memorial barbecue has typical Zappa style traits. Dolphy's tune has a more classical jazz
structure: theme/solos/theme, Zappa's track is more complex.
