woah!
hahhhaaa!
that sent me down memory lane.
Not the same bands the same sound and tempo. mood of stuff many friends of mine over the years that listened to that sort of thing.
It's a road I can't go down anymore. It wears me out.

A 5 disc collection of 60's garage rock call "Trash Box."
It's basically all of the "Pebbles" releases in one set.

Well I've listened to them both now. First: the Go! Team. The Go Team are nearly the most American sounding British band i've ever heard. Actually,
there more of a collective than a band. The music is a mixture of samples from Sonic Youth, old school horn lines and the school yard chants of
extremely hip black american youngsters, along with thinly produced and massively compressed drums (similar to the Flaming Lips drum sound), and
feel-good melodies sound like 60s movie themes.
Husker Du should be spelt with little double dots on the u's. I don't know what the technical name is. This is (I think) their second or third album
and was released in 1985. It is extremely raw and abrasive and fast. But the songs have really wacked structures and excellent melodies. It's the kind
of thing where you have no idea what the guy is singing but you sing along anyway. And the guitar playing is something else.

Alt + 129. ü. I presume it's an Umlaut, what it does is change the sound of a vowel. If you for whatever reason don't use Umlauts on the vowels, it's
common practice to write an E behind the vowel, as in Goethe.

Actually U with umlaut becomes an Uuuuu sound, and I'm not aware of such a sound in English. German regular U sounds like OO.

No, that's a U with a y-sound before it.
Found an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnzEi8L87NI (with subtitles) When Ronald talks about his childhood soft toy, he says pluche.
