That's a long time. How often does it come out? Every few months?

No I was in court in Belgium.
In 2007 januari I had forgotten the speedlimit in Turnhout (Belgium).
They have measured a speed of 71 km/hr were 70 was allowed. That results in a 60 euro penalty. I was a little late with the payment (due to the difficulties of paying abroad).
And.... they have lost my payment. That why I was forced to go to court. Finally the judge give m a minimum penalty of 55 Euro and 23 Euro's (partly the cost of court) the already paid 60 euros will be subtracted from that. That will leave to pay 17 euro's.
So I have a record now in Belgium, convicted by the judge.

It's weekly... Don't understand why it takes so long, considering there were 2 weeks between me sending the letter and receiving the "you've won" mail... It took 8 to 10 weeks to publish a letter in 1974, and it takes 12 weeks today.

Who needs Belgium anyway. I've had my license for umm...three years now but I've never been booked or pulled over. It's very difficult to stick to the slow limits when there are 20 cars piled up behind you getting very angry.

I've had people overtake me in a school zone where the speed limit is 40km/h.

Mood: Better than absolutely shitty.

My mood:

I almost gave up! After installing the Mac OS X upgrade "10.5" ("Leopard" -- a mere US $129 plus $5.50 SHIPPING!) absolutely everything began either to freeze or crash. After doing everything possible to get the mess cleared up, even booting in Mac OS X's "UNIX" environment and taking very careful steps there to change preferences, provided by a Mac technician, I was still fucked!!! The only thing left for me to do was to do a clean installation of "10.5" Fine! The only problem was the loss of 207 Gigabytes (!) of irreplaceable data!!! I wanted to take that whole machine and ram it up Steve Jobs' ass!!!
I still can't recall the most irreplaceable data but I'm remembering it as I go along.
No stored usernames/passwords at all, all bookmarks gone, and on and on and on. Aaaaarrrrgh! The only reason I could get in here is my Dell Windows 2000 laptop, currently running now.
I almost forget when it happened which was just over a month ago. This laptop is one rickety old (Released November, 1999!) machine but I fuss over it and do maintenance on it constantly.
(Weather sucks too! Lots of snow, lots of freezing rain, lots of rain, and a whole lot of ICE! It's just 34 degrees F/1 degree C and the snow just turned to rain. And there's still something weird and unsettling about "snow thunder squalls" -- the lightning and thunder in a burst of snow is just plain eerie!)

You said the only thing left to do, I think there was another way.
Lending, hiring or buying a clean disk.
Put it in your machine, make clean installation. Put your old disc in as slave
Pump the data to your new disk
shut down
new disk out, make old disk master
make a clean installation
Put in new disk as slave, pump data back
format the new disk and give it back or sell it or keep it as a clean slave whatever.
Forget all your logins and passwords but 1 (ours)

If I 'm too late with my advise
Then be convinced that I'm :shocked:

DED:"Forget all your logins and passwords but 1 (ours)" LOL!:D

Oh, but all the corrupted, screwed-up parts of the System were installed on the internal Hard Drive! Putting the disk in only let me "Replace Current System" and told me, "The current System will be placed in a folder titled "Previous System" and that's still there, with the title "Previous System" but I used an application that comes with the System called, "Migration Assistant" That took all my "Applications" from the "Previous System" folder and copied them to the new System -- only one application didn't recognize my "key code" and I had to buy a new (US $35) "key code" soth that I got all its functions and it didn't open up in 6 days with a window saying, "Your 6-day evaluation period has expired, please contact Lemkesoft for your authorization code." Ugh! More money!:pissed:
So, no disks would have held anything and now I have a 107 GB "folder" marked "Previous System" on my hard drive doing nothing but taking up 107GBs of space on my 250 GB internal hard drive. Blech! Thanks for the attempt to dig me out of the mess, DED! ;-)

Ohhhh, yeah! But finally Apple put out a "point upgrade" that cleaned all, well, almost, all the bugs out of their "Leopard" Mac OS X (10.5) but it wasn't 10.5.1, it was 10.5.2! It was a huge download but it was a perfect system stabilizer!

I hate these software companies that sell their trash before it's ready -- either "Crapple" or "Microsnot" -- because "it's time to make a lot of money!":regan::regan::regan:
(I like that "Bad Apple" graphic, DED, so I've got to save it!)

Truth is, I had just moved it out of there and into the kitchen so I'd have some sense of time -- last week I replaced it with this huge black clock that even my head couldn't block out.
(It's a good thing the floor doesn't get into these pics because it make a sloppiest college guy's dorm room look like Buckingham Palace! LOL!:D
