Photo's (solved)

I think it is most irritating that when you click on a thumb in the photosession. There is only a link to http:........./....jpg
That means that the picture is shown on a very white page in the same window, forcing you to hit the back button on your browser to go back.
There are some advantages to. There is now the possibillity to use par of the picture as thumb. Quite surprising sometimes and the building up of all the thumbs.
I have found a standard gallery and tried something out. Using that is not asking a lot of programming, can be edited until it has the PG look and shows the pictures in their original size and using the thumbnails like before.
But before I do a lot of PHP editing I kindly ask you to try out the trial on click here for the trial
Again do not mind the colours at this stage, Also the amount of thumbs on a page can be edited as was before

The album is now in the PG style and the thumnail page is showing 100 thumbnails per screen. Pretty much the same as the photo item.
THere are now over 300 pics in the album including around 160 screendumps from Mpeg's. Not the very best quality but it gives an impression of the mpeg files roaming around the net and between fans. When bbp toke over the size of the site was around 8Megs, now we have tripled that, (a test surroundig included). The diashows in the album are not working yet. They stop at the first picture. Has something to do with the cubie make up of pages. When you include pages in the PHP style refreshing is not working properly.
If you like to make screenprints of your own I can advise the freeware Gadwin PrintScreen program. It's very handy.
The screenprints are stored and numbered automaticaly in a folder. With the good old GWS we make thumbnails on the fly. unfortenately GWS is calling them S_filename but ther is a very nice renamer on the net who lets you change the names in batches.

If BBP likes we can add a postcard item to the site, allowing to send friends over the world an original PG email card

Up where? On the forum? Don't think it's possible, and since this is a standard program, I can't implement it either.

you can try hosting the video at a site like"photo bucket" or any such host site (most of them are free)
then use a url link to it from the forum on this site

i think that will work

... I presumed he meant what we used to have on the old Zappa forum, where you could post Flash sequences, so you could have a film in a post. Any link should pop up.

Actually... I was wrong... I just discovered you CAN do that. I even wrote it in a post in the "Tips for using the Forum" thread. Just use the commands flash and /flash between square brackets.

You can add flash since BBP let the flash mode open
you have to make an swf out of your movie.

Second there is the new photo album that supports flv, but at this moment you cannot use it, because I cant get it to work as part of this site. Furthermore ploeg.ws is reaching his 50 percent space. when we add more files everything slows down.
a link to youtube is still the best.
