That's an impressive beard, it's a shame it had to go. I bet you could hide some stuff in there..

There's this cartoon series about history... don't know if it's been
broadcasted anywhere but Neth and France (Il etait un fois... l'homme)... In it was this inventor guy with a huge beard and whatever he had and needed
(compasses, saw, parchment, raincoat...) he could store or pull out of his beard.
Kinda like Nanny from Count Duckula who had a sling that stored the heater and the kitchen table.

Another fan! Great!
When Belgian TV re-run it in 2000 I taped about half the episodes, and I've lost all of them.

According wikepedia both are ok
first is was Dutch and called New Amsterdam
After some struggle t became british and they called it
New York.
Then we fight and it became Dutch again We called it now New Orange (Nieuw Oranje). then the peace of Westminster came
and we gave New Amsterdam away and we get Surinam as a result.

Yes, a quit good bargain
we had Surinam longer then England had New York
We pumped it full of slaves
And we took the Bauxiet out.
Now it is only costing money but we get that back by building bridges overthere.

Is it Ded, that Dutch businesses make money by building bridges in Surinam or something else? And is it 'payouts' to the government of Surinam by the
Dutch gov't or something else?
I'm learning. Now to learn how to ask the question in Dutch.
