Yes, for the first time we've been on the ploeg.ws domain we were down.
The americans try to avoid problems by working in the evening but that is our day time.

DED, let's say it's 3:00 PM (1500 hrs.) Nederland that would be 10:00 AM (10:00 hrs.) New York time so we're -6 hours (Eastern Standard) time Netherlands time. (Boston, too.) So America is, according to the 4 time zones, minus 6 hours, 7 hours, 8 hours, 9 hours Netherlands time and your evening comes before ours so 6:00 PM here would be 12:00 Midnight Netherlands time.
I sure don't know why you got no response from that electronics business that claimed to have that hard-to-find vacuum tube. It sounds ridiculous that they would ignore a foreign request if they wanted to stay in business. That sure beats me!

Yours,

George ("Batchain")

Innit great! Time difference!
Gojira1975 (remember him? He used to cut my grass...) will play a request for me on his radio show... which will start at 1AM...

Good thing I'm not doing my newspaper rounds anymore...

It's not the radio shop this time but
Godaddy. Don't know where they are but I can see on the time stamps when I upload that there is a time difference.
Every restarting or working at the immense serverparc needs to be done sometime. Since it is America's biggest registrar I accept that when they work they choose the best time when they cause as less trouble as possible.
LAst month during the day my webmail was out of order and now was the site unavailable for some hours.
I fully accept that no problem. In the worst case bonny could have uploaded her picture to the wedoconsultancy domain. Because our domains are split in two one on a unix machine (Ploeg.ws) and the other (wedoconsultancy/3xploeg) on a windowsmachine.

That is until sweet B put a link up (you brave gal) and allowed me passage back here.
Because as my computer died, I lost my vfavorite links and this new one doesn't have those links.
I searched on google and couldn't find the site at all . . .
or at least a direct link to the forum
So I thank you, now I hope I can rest a little easier without breathing in the toxic fumes of the infested waters over there
:)

I've explained the origin of this a few times, but no one seems to listen. I just really want all of this to stop.

Isaac: two top internet tips for you and anyone else:
-If you don't like it, walk away. Don't feed it and make yourself more frustrated.

-Don't take anything seriously, whether offences or proposals, or anything inbetween. Remember it's too easy to call somebody a name when you've never seen him, will never see him or deal with it in the future.

Hey all!
firstly I commend our hostess for workin hard to smooth the waters!:-*
2ndly, nearly everyone has tried reasoning with Isaac (there are exceptions as always) and Isaac himself has demonstrated how impossible it is to stamp out what he doesn't want to see (whatever that happens to be).
But in flaming on everyone calling them every name in the book as they point out the things that HE does to annoy, he has managed to piss everybody off.
Now I don't think Isaac should be banned IF (and it's a mighty big 'if' in this case), Isacc admitted what he was doing (pissing everybody off) is his own bad behavior. He has not done that. When he says that he has apologised, he hasn't in fact, done that at all. He apologises on behalf of the forum (he's not MY representative) for the problems anyone has had that he just as quickly denies being a party to. In other words, he makes it impossible for anyone to say anything without him starting in with his flames, everyone walks on eggshells -- to be nice to him -- and he continues to rant and stomp and scream saying no -one understands him and goes on the attack on people who would like to be nice to him.
Impossible.

I agree 100% with your quote on tolerance Bonny. But tolerance also means curbing one's own behavior so as not to be offensive to others -- as you are such a fantastic example of B! (Well, except for the bible burning, but that's no on the forum and there is not likely to be many there who find that offensive).
Isaac doesn't get this at all, in fact, he thinks he should be able to control others' behavior or posts that he doesn't agree with. and then ridicule (he wishes) those who point this out to him.

So should intolerance be tolerated?

much love and sweetness sent yer way
punky

p.s.
this new user punnaynowned is in fact the previous user punknaynowned. If you could find my old password here, I'd appreciate it.

You burned bibles Bonny?

Excuse me, punnaynowned, but what should we call you now? Because Punk doesn't work anymore and you'd be mistaken if you think i'm going to type out 12 letters when referencing you every time.

I apologized for trying to lower myself to the level of the trolls and I apologized myself for trying to lower myself to Slime's level of bumpage. And then I apologized again. I've apologized three times now.

You've "apologized" for other people's behaviour, which is offensive (unless you're apologizing for something your kids do, but that's a matter of responsibility). You've gotten things way out of hand. You can stop it by stopping yourself. Let them talk, don't get angry in return, you're only feeding it.
By doing this, you also make new things to apologize for.

I've told you that a lot of times before, and I'm now very tired of repeating this over and over. That's why I'm off the Zappa forum, at least until things clear up. I got college to attend to, not a bunch of squibbling boys.
