Trouble every day
Today a hacker invaded Packardgoose.com. Result: a guestbook filled with spam and a member with a fake ID. We managed to resolve this. The guest-book
is back to normal and the member IP is banned. So, if you noticed a lot of weird things going on in the site, you know why that is.

Actually this member was a genuine spammer, posting porn links in the guest book and stuff. His IP-number came from Poland.

Dunno who it was. The IP points to Poland indeed. But somebody else can have asked some help on those famous hacker forums.
Actually we have to be glad about this. We're backing up the goose very regular and what concerns the guestbook we,ve putted the back up file in, with
no lose of serious postings. It was a corner of the site we didn't look at and we noticed that there is an admin account for the guestbook with a
password bbp didn't know. Browsing trough the indexes and settings we managed to get the password. A visit to the site of the guestbookmakers learned
that there was a new version with a spam blocker. Off course we installed that right away. And working our way to get it back on the feet we changed
the lay out a bit so it wil be read more easily then before. So we learned a lot about PHP these days, thanks to the hacking guys.
It brings the site back to normal again. But I can help Bonny as much as I want in keeping this site up technically, the content is worrying me. There
is not a lot I know about Frank Zappa (apart from the hose trick he did in the early seventies). For the discography I "lent" content of the German
Zappa Site but Bonny is not a supporter for "second hand" content. So I hope you all will help to get the facts, biography and so on back on his feet
making this site to the very best fansite on the net.

Please DED, no pointing fingers. You have no evidence of QB interference whatsoever. I already wrongly accused him of deleting the forum, which was
embarrassing.

You think your guestook was a mess.
You haven't seen the zappa.com guestbook yet
They work with cgi and a custom written program, be glad that you use updated standard material.

You can spoof the ID by using a public proxy server, most of these spammers do to make it more difficult to track them down.
Hey kids! Do you hear that sound? . . . Freaks will be coming from miles around!

Yep... You can tell by the shape of their e-mail address and web-site they link to. What kind of loser is that anyway?

Today I finally discovered how to chuck away accounts. So check the member list: we went from 4 to 2 pages.
