The other thing here is about what's going on in the video itself. What happens to the guy if he misses the pool? There must have been a bit of trial
and error here, they can't have got it right first time.

Answers to your questions
It was builded together out of the vid and the sentence I don't dare to do it (Would you go the whole way)
There you have the Zappa song. I give it away in Dutch, so BBP would know the answer when I forget it. (That happens sometime, must be my age), If you
had tried a babelfish translation, you would have theanswer too)
Then about the vid. The mythbusters tried to work it out. For safety reasons they tried it out in a lake with a target. In that case it was no problem
if they missed the target. Surprisingly they landed always on the same spot, so it must be possible tho land in the target as on the movie. But the
airtime was to high, by far they didn't reach the distance in the youtube movie. The makers of the movie later confess that it was a computer
manupilation.
