BEST TRILOGY OF ALL TIME

further to a conversation some friends and i were having about films the other night,i decided to seek your opinions on the matter of trilogies-what are the best trilogies of all time, usually one of the three films will let the series down, example MAD MAX, m.m1 and 2 are cool but mad max 3 beyond thunderdome lets the series down i.m.o

STAR WARS doesn't really count anymore because george lucas ruined in by making requells although star wars return of the jedi and empire strikes back are excellent it can't count as a trilogy anymore

my nominations for the catagory are

the godfather trilogy

and back to the future

what are yours-??

About te only one I'm sure of I've seen it in full and can remember it, is Lord Of The Rings. I've seen Back To The Future too, but too long ago.
The Rings set is a treat to watch... probably better if you haven't read the books first.

I like the Lord of the Rings.
but I also liked KOYAANISQATSI, POWAAQATSI and the other one that I always forget the name of.
you'll probably see that I'm a fan of the star wars 6.
I might watch episode 3 again, tonight.

:D Jaws 3 is the most under-rated movie of all time.

Yea but Jaws 4 is the worst of the trilogy!

I saw it in San Antonio at that Alamo themed movie house that smells like urine and fell asleep for 20 minutes and apparently didn't miss a thing!

If I remember right Jaws 3 is about a water theme park, and they decide to capture a shark and then its mum gets angry and wants revenge. What is Jaws 4 about?

Ooh was it a water theme park? I vaguely remember people running through a leaking tube.

Somehow I never got into Jaws.

Yes! I do believe there was a leaking tube. But the only one you should see is the first one.

In Jaws 7 the shark kidnaps a baby and holds it for ransom.

Best Trilogy?

LOR of course......but I enjoyed The Matrix quite a bit, even though the second one seemed like filler.

Maybe for trying to squeeze every cent out of an idea that really only worked the first time.
