Hello Moderators,
I wandered over from the Zappa site to have a look around. Yeah I admit that whilst i was here I thought that I would have a bit of fun at the expense of old Jaypfunk and signed up as Jaypfunk.Hey its a free country...or so they say. As you know (if you're a regular on the other site) good old Jayp has a winning way with newbie's. Go have a look at the replies he has given to some of the posteres who have innocently asked a question. They have been bombarded with abuse by the great man. Hey, that's water off a ducks back to me...but to a newbie its bang out of order. Anyhoo, I thought I would come on here and have a bit of fun at his expense. Now as far as Im aware i did not use foul language, or post obscene material so why ban me? I know that Jayp can take a joke, but possibly you may need to think about developing a sense of humour. Or is it a case of we can please ourselves, because we are the head honchos and its our board so we can ban anyone without any form of warning or debate on the subject? Id be interested to hear your reply? For what its worth, the board is very good and well put together. Anything that promotes Franks music has got to be good.

Ok, my reply is this. I don't wish for any flaming of any member, nor do I wish for any type of bullying, ok? I don't have a list of Jaypfunk's posts, therefore do not know him. I apologise if you were simply having a bit of fun but the last post you made was offensive and I don't want any of that here, thank you.

Jaypfunk on the "other site" is always funny, if a little cutting, and I for one, think he would be a good addition to any forum, as he doesnt take any shit. If he thinks you are wrong he will tell you, simple as that....In his own inimitable way, of course...

Thanks for the reply James. Had I seen a list of rules saying 'no flaming of members' then I would have adhered to it. Since the original Jayp is not a member, I have not flamed him. I merely used the name Jaypfunk to poke fun at someone, who, on another site, who enjoys the derision of others.

Gojira old friend, we know each other well, and I 'm amused at your use of the term 'cutting' to describe someone who is downright unfriendly to new members. Yes, agreed, Jayp is an asset to any board, as he has a wealth of knowledge on Zappa that supasses many (myself included) Does the fact that someone has an extensive knowledge of Zappa mean that they should be offensive to someone else? I think not.
I'm interested to find out what was offensive about my last post? I did not use foul language, and I did not post any obscene pictures, so what did I do? If you do not wish to print the ofensive item on the board send it by U2U and we can discuss it there. If I am wrong , and I have posted something offensive please aceept my apologies. Unlike the real Jayp I can apologise if I am in the wrong.

I have deleted the post. By offensive, I meant offensive to Jaypfunk. End of discussion, I apologise for banning you, I will un-ban your IP address right away. I will write some rules now.

My apologies James. Perhaps a point to new members to read the rules when logging on might help?
