ME and my "new" Telefunken magnetophon 75 or how to catch a mouse
Someone I knew bought a taperecorder on a fleamarket, because it was a so beautiful design that It was hard to resist. At home he could not find the
mains cable and opened it. But he is not a good technician so he sold the thing to me for the original 3 euro's.
What are we doing
Picture 2
1 Something was connected here
2 I do not trust that cable, lets open up the other site
3 some rests of old styrofoam
picture 3
Ah there you are ...... and some styrofoam again
Picture 4
A snare so loose , that cannot be true with this width
It flips off so easily
The noisy sound when shaking te recorder is caused by two
restant parts of the handle, what a #$%^& who cut that off
Look to that wheel on the right, it has no function so.
The speed regulator, something bad happend there. One of the owners who tried to repair mixed up the snares
now you have one speed for playing and 2 for winding
No wonder that the main wheel not turns properly, by mixing up the snares, this one is certainly to low mounted underneath in stead of on the
wheel.
Firts thing mounted is the wheel without a function. It solves the loose snare.
With this crappy picture, a motion is simulated
not on purpose. I hope it wil work now and that I do not have troubles with the electronics, becoming parts is so difficult.
And now ..........
Playing time
Bad quality by sticky messy BASF tape, but it was the one on the machine. It is recorded in a church. Some religion you can not avoid. But the
machine is working .
Check it out here.

Take a big garbage can, at least 1 ft deep.
Put something tasty and smelly in it. Like fruit peels, or soap.
Make sure any mouse is able to walk in. Put something high next to it.
Make sure the mouse can't get out.
When you caught it and it has nothing to eat, it will die in about 3 hrs of starvation. Mice need to eat a lot because they're so tiny and burn a lot
of energy.
You can speed up the process by putting in some bug killers, poison, or just hit it on the head with a hammer. Or release it far away.
Or borrow a cat.

Thanks I do
Are you sure Bonny
our Bin was aprox 2feet high (65cm) with very smooth surfaces otherwise they can climb out.
Do not try to hit it with a hammer, he or she will ran out the bin using your arm.

You can aim well and drop it in... But you're right, they're smart, quick and nimble.
I understand mice can only jump 1 ft (30 cm).

With the help of the wall and in panic he can jump higher, just as you in the same position.
Reminds me of the frog
When you shout jump to a frog he jumps 75 cm
When you pull off a leg and say jump he wil jump 35 cm
When you pull of the other leg and say jump he seems to need a hearing aid.

once we trapped a mouse in a round trash can, maybe a meter high.
it ran around the bottom of the can faster and faster -- looking for a way out -- and it spun itself out : it flew out of the can (spinning around the inside of the can and landed on the floor in the kitchen and
scurried off to a corner and disappeared.
my roommate and I looked at each other, laughed and said if we both didn't see that happen, no one would believe us.
I never tell that story.
the new tenant (lol) I seemed to have chased to the back porch. he didn't show up in the kitchen last night.

You just did!
That's really weird! Sounds like you just have to kill 'em fast. We killed the mice we trapped this way by spraying the can with gas, then cover it
with a large glass panel.
And the can was made out of plastic, maybe that makes a difference.
Say Dad, have you checked on the attic yet?

Ahh! Great job!
Once, on a very hot day in August, I spotted a tiny little mouse in the garden, crawling slowly. The poor little mouse seemed to have problems in the
heat. He did not resond at all, so I put a glass jar over him (and some cheese in it). Then the soup was ready. After the soup I found he was still
under the jar, on which there was now condensation. I pulled it off and caught the mouse when it ran away. I released it at some nearby nature.

Bad news!
If you want to stop it from getting back, only options are cats, or killing it. I know it's nasty, maybe you could set up one of them that locks them
up, so you can take it very far away.
