Hey Bonny, hopefully you're in Prague right now, resting after spending an enjoyable day there.

hahaha by the time you posted that I was already in Germany.

This was a "study trip". These are often organized by companies in the hospitality industry. In this case it was a train with nought but sleeper cars. I shared mine with two female travel agents, both about my age.
"They may call them "sleeper cars", but a more proper term would be "noisy prison simulation guaranteed to keep you awake."
I spent 13 hours getting to Prague, either chatting to the other ladies in the group or tossing in the bed. Biggest moment of excitement was when the fire alarm went off - one of the girls on the train had used deodorant, causing the alarm to activate.

The sleeping car is most definitely not my thing. The movement of the car make me nauseous and wake me up if we go through a rough section, plus there was this nasty ticking sound, like there was a woodpecker in the couchette with us.
https://www.europeansleeper.eu/the-train
I had a fold-out prison-bench type on the top as it's supposed to be roomier, but i couldn't even sit straight, let alone change in there. For the return I decided to go on the middle one and fold up the top one.
The beds were very tiny - with my 1,75m I couldn't lie straight in it - narrow and with just a sheet and a fleece blanket provided.I used to think I could sleep anywhere

We were only scheduled to have 7 hours in Prague, but that quickly turned into 5 hours when the train got delayed. In those five hours we had a good lunch with typically Czech dishes, we rushed past several sights, were briefly showed around the theatre, were taken to the astronomical clock and then the Charles Bridge, and from there we basically were supposed to make our way back to the train.

Way back went without delay. Halfway through the night which was spent awake and sea-sick, tossing and getting annoyed with the tapping sound, I finally found the source of the noise: the folding beds are heavy, but are held up with just one hook on the side, so the other one starts flipping around. By lowering the bed I may have had to sacrifice my overhead space, but lo and behold, the woodpecker flew and I could actually get one or two hours of sleep.

Due to the train strike, there were no trains from the Dutch railwais for a few hours. Which meant that my original plan of getting out at Amersfoort at 5:30 which would have gotten me home by 7AM couldn't happen as no trains were going until 8AM and after that I'd have to wait for the peak hours to end. Rather than waiting for hours in a drafty dark station in Amersfoort, I had to travel to one of the last stops in Roosendaal which is about the same distance away and would give me one hour to kill there. Got me home by 11:15.

Five hours in Prague, 30 hours in the train, hardly any sleep... I'm presently a bit of a zombie.

My blue is greener than 63% of the population. I probably feel that way because my idea of green is darker than the green used in the RGB system. But then again, my idea of blue is also darker, so wtf?

I'm in the middle.

Saw a squirrel, did the laundry, and now that I have just a slither of spare time I'm doing maths. The hard type (B) at the level I wanted to do but couldn't because I lacked 0,1 point on my final grade. Hope I can get revenge this year. :)

So far I learned about vectors, which weren't standard to the curriculum in my day.

Am still in baby seal mode, spent a lot of my free moments... decided to look up knitted and crocheted patterns and found some very cute ones.

Which I then found out were AI-created pictures.

Not a fan of this tech development .

Flat tire epidemic here.

Sometimes the broom cars come by with rotating steel brushes to clean the street, but unfortunately they "forget" to ride behind them with a vacuum car, so the stray steel bristles are left on the cycle path, ready to cause mayhem. I have endured 4 punctures in 3 different bicycles in 3 days.

Today I got a puncture halfway home, when it was pouring with rain. As feather in my cap, the puncture was not the leak I had fixed just the day before, but a new one. So I can fix them all-right. Yay.

As another feather in my cap, I write this from my Windows 7 laptop, which was my daily jam up and until my employment with Belvilla ended.

Sooo, here it is! A post made in Internet Explorer 11!
