The entire Dischord Records catalog available for download!
From the Dischord Records website:
The entire Dischord catalog is now available to download in the form of high quality (320 kbps), non-restricted (DRM-free), mp3 files directly from
this website.
This Dischord "digital" site offers a unique hybrid of the direct sale and subscription based download services (as well as the usual CDs, LPs, DVDs,
etc). Customers have the option to download entire albums for a set price (usually $7), purchase Digital Credits (15 credits for $10) that can be used
to download individual songs, or receive a free album download with the purchase of a 12" vinyl LP from our store.
We have also added a media player to our site which which features streaming songs and video from Dischord artists. Content for the media player will
be updated continually as we find and adapt high quality material from our archives and from users. In the future we will also add more cool features
to the player so stay tuned.
This "digital" website (dischord 3.0) was programmed and built by Jerrod Blavos of Indierockmedia with front-end design and concept contributions by
Pau Santesmasses. The project is managed by Alec Bourgeois of Dischord Records. Special thanks go to our support team at Datapipe, Jay Gordon,
Jeremiah Sullivan and Bill Dolan. They go above and beyond for us and we can't thank them enough.
This website will always remain a work in progress and we welcome any comments or critiques from our fans and customers. You can direct any comments
about the structure and content of the site to Alec at Digital Help. You can direct questions about our store to Basla at Order Help.

Just wondering...
Anyways I'm not such a downloader. I think I got around 5 tracks downloaded: one from Primus's bootleg page where Les is being spat on, one from
Bach's Toccata in d minor, one Dutch TV tune, Alien Ant Farm's Smooth Criminal and Billy Joel's Piano Man.
That's my guilty pleasure admission for today...

I'm not a downloader either. I prefer my music in a physical form that I can actually hold in my hands. And if your computer crashes and you haven't
backed up your hard drive (which has happened to me a few times fairly recently), you won't have to re-purchase all your music.

Yup! Fortunately it just takes a cable to burn it onto cassette.
I used to do that, now I have some midi-files on tape. What was I thinking? They sound horrible!

There was a small article in the newspaper the other day that said that cd sales were down by 30% in 2008 compared to 2007 because of the popularity
of downloading and mp3s. I think it's really sad. I bet more people listen to music now on their phones than on the stereos at home. I still think
discmans are the most convenient thing ever.
