I'm very nervous about calling people, even good friends and family. And when I pick up the phone I'm nervous as well. But once I'm talking the only
thing I truly hate is when the receiver becomes warm from your ear.

I'm ESPECIALLY nervous about calling good friends and family 'cuz I hate dealing with "wow, I haven't talked to YOU in ages!".

Whenever the phone rings at home, if I answer it (which is rare), I immediately hand it to my wife if she's not taking a shower.

i don't really like using phones either, i don't know why but I don't feel comfortable with that tool.

About 10 minutes ago, the phone rang while I was watching a YouTube video of Lou Reed inducting FZ into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. My wife asked
me to answer it. I did not.

I find the telephone a real handy tool, but I guess I'm hypocritical about it, because I always expect whoever it is to be there when I call but I
hate it when the phone rings and I'm in the middle of one of my favourite shows on TV. Mind you, I don't ring people at times that I figure would be
inconvenient for them and wonder why some of them can't get the hint about when it's not convenient for me. Of course, now that I have a decent DVD
recorder I record most of the shows I watch and I can start watching them while they're still recording so if the phone rings I don't miss anything.
It's especially convenient for commercial television shows. I start watching 20 or so minutes after the scheduled start and fast forward over the
ads.

No, but you CAN cross the love canyon if you put it on vibrate, tape it to your privates and call it over and over again.
