Not too bad a list. I'm too old to recognize about 1/3 of those songs, but I at least kinda like just about all the others to some degree. I do
appreciate when such lists are the result of reader/listener polls, rather than some big-headed journalist offering his "objective" assessment. At
least this way, it really does reflect a consensus, even if it's not my own.

Here's what I listen to when all other music just tires me and I need to drift away into oblivion. Like now, for example:

The list has been pretty controversial because of what it doesn't contain: many black artists, many Australian artists, much hip hop, and no female
artists at all. But again, it's hard to criticise it for these things since it's a listener poll, and a poll not for what they think are the BEST
songs necessarily, but their favourites. Some people couldn't believe there was no Bjork or PJ Harvey for example, but it's hard to believe that these
artists would be more popular than almost all of the artists that made the list. I'm sure they got huge numbers of votes but not enough for one
particular song for it to make the list.

That could've been illustrated better, but the idea is kinda fun. Reminds me of Tales Of Necrophilia.

I just received the new album from the Adrian Belew Power Trio. It's called "e."
It's pretty chewy stuff: definitely not for beginners.
But it's cool. Julie and Eric Slick have really invigorated Adrian's playing. Believe it or not, he'll be sixty this year (older than Julie and Eric
put together).

I'm dying to get that album. I'm familiar with the title track because they previewed it on tour. If that song's any indication of what's on the
album, it should be a doozy.

Feetsie! Great to have you here!
Gosh, Vista is really stopping my listening-to-music-while-on-the-PC. Microsoft decided to drop that cute little CD player they had and went for the
hideous PackardBell Home Theatre, which is highly unstable and EATS diskspace. Plus it looks hideous. Kinda like my website.
