Maybe it drove you batty because you just got on the wrong foot with it at the start, I find iTunes really easy to use. Yes, you can sync your iPod with iTunes on one computer if you want, but you don't have to. I don't, because I found syncing to be a pain in the ass. Syncing enables you to modify your iTunes music library as though it was your iPod music library without it being plugged in and then when you plug it in it is automatically updated but for me I hated not being able to plug into other machines without the hassle.

Maybe so. But I'm totally happy with my Zune. It has Built in WiFi, an FM tuner and I have an RCA cable so I can plug it into any stereo, tv or vcr with inputs which allows me to play my music and videos pretty much anywhere I go. Also, I figured why mess with Apple's bs when I rock Microsoft. The only way I'd ever convert is if someone gave me a brand new ipod and it somehow outperformed my Zune. I don't see that happening.

Also, My zune locked up once (because I had dropped it) and Microsoft sent me a brand new one.

That's very kind of them!

I grew out of Microsoft with Vista. Not just because it's a lousy system, but also because Microsoft is pretending it's fantastic (at least they did that for long) and will not ever submit any bug fixes.
