Dweezil Zappa World
I don't know about anybody else, but I've really been enjoying Dweezil Zappa World. It's nothing like zappa.com which was really starting to give me
the shits, I've hardly visited the place since the 4th of December.
Of course, Trendy is there as Ambassador At Large. He seems to be using a spell check, but not much else is different, it was pretty obvious it was
him.

...The site looks hideous to me, so I decided not to join. I'm not that much of a DZ fan anymore, which is great. Besides I'm active on 5 forums now
(granted, four of those are not very big) and that is kind of enough. Maybe I'll explore it when I'm done with Zappadan.

I posted on the frequently asked questions how often does Gary call the house. I never got an answer.

I signed up, only to realize that Dweezil's really not that interesting.

Yes indeed, Dweezil and Frank, aside from the work ethic, they're chalk and cheese.

True, Dweezil isn't much of a showman, not even in his blog. Then again, I already knew from his lyrics that his writing is a far cry from Frank's.
But I'm glad he's opening up to the computer.

I find that site just a place for people to blast email each other and to kiss his ass. I hardly post there anymore.

Signed up, and am going to let it slip. Geez. THIS site is more active. (Granted, I have to do all the work myself...)

Frank was still alive and had his own web site, I imagine there would be a fair bit of ass kissing going on.
I started a discussion on DZW about DZPZ playing some of Dweezil's music. I was pretty strident at first but quickly realised that in the end I don't
really give a shit what Dweezil does with DZPZ. They're a great band, I'm largely content with all the original FZ stuff that's available and I dig
most of the ZFT releases so in the end does it really matter what they do?
Anyway, the majority at DZW seem to be one eyed supporters of Dweezil and completely missed how my arguments were progressing in that thread and kept
harping on about my first post, so I ended up dropping out of it. I even got a spiteful reply from Dweezil himself who just failed to read everything
I had written and just jumped on one point. Dweezil is most definitely not another Frank, he's this kind of strange new age junky who seems to be
afraid of having his own personality. He readily embraces all sorts of stuff that Frank wouldn't have touched with a ten foot barge pole.
Anyway, I don't visit DZW much any more.

Reading that, Poly, I'm glad I didn't become a Dweezil groupie last Friday.
