Orchestral Favorites 40th Anniversary Edition

I'm streaming it (because I'm broke, as per usual) but I'm having a hard time noticing any huge improvements over the 2012 disc. The bonus material is of questionable quality as well. It's one of my favorite orchestral albums of FZ's (no pun intended), but I'm not sure I'd shell out 30 euros or so for this one. Nice to hear these gems again, though. But I can't help but wonder if the whole "dolby line-up tone" thing was just something FZ made up to discredit Warner Brothers. It sounds good, but hardly that much better than previous releases of this material.

(I'm pretty unhappy in general with the recent ZFT trend of releasing deluxe packages that cost an arm and a leg for little to no interesting new material. ZINY being the exception, maybe.)

Anybody here taken a listen yet? Thoughts?

I'm still listening to the original vinyl and haven't gone past that - didn't know Zappa questioned the mixed on the original - as for future releases - think they are a thing of the past now.............
