This had happened during the days of Studio Z in Cucamonga (1963).
Frank was released on bail (his father took out a bank loan
to pay for it). Frank had been busted for "conspiracy to
commit pornography," after making a silly recording of
suggestive sexual sounds (giggling edited out) for someone
who had asked him to provide a "special" tape recording
for a stag night. That someone turned out to be Detective Willis
of the San Bernadino Vice Squad. Their conversation was
recorded by a hidden microphone and this was used as
evidence at Zappa's trial.

I liked Dangerous Kitchen's encyclopedic discography which compares the original vinyls to the CD-version. It got me to buy a vinyl YAWYI, after his getting furious on the CD's bad sound. Apart from that, he's not really telling his opinion about anything, and he explains a lot of motives and jokes I didn't get at first.

Know that book? I can't remember the author's name by now.

Is it me or are we getting a bit :offtopic:?

PS Did you read that bit in Gray where the author claimed Frank was a bad husband to Gail? Gray has never even interviewed her!

PS Did you read that bit in Gray where the author claimed Frank was a bad husband to Gail? Gray has never even interviewed her!

Funny thing is though, Ive heard that rumour quite alot. Not saying its true or anything, just that it does pop up once in a while. Not that anybody really gives a fuck though.....

Well, he was away on the road touring for months, at home he was mostly awake during the night while everyone else was sleeping and there's the Nigey Lennon thing...

Personally, I don't give a fuck either and I'd rather read details about the music itself instead of his personal life.

Hey kids! Do you hear that sound? . . . Freaks will be coming from miles around!
