It saddens me greatly to say the great Ed Mann passed away yesterday .

Oh man..RIP Ed Mann...My first FZ concert was the Sheik Yerbouti tour in '77, Ed was a stand-out on stage...

Sad indeed! 
I've only seen FZ twice - in 1988 and with the yellow shark - but have hardly any recollections, cause there are all those releases and videos and
stuff. One of the few exceptions is, when FZs use of handsignals failed and Ed was the villain in that story: FZ pointed his signals towards the
musicians but Ed was so sunken in his playing that he didn't notice. FZ then did some kind of jump into Eds direction and that sudden movement was a
kind of wakeup call for Ed who obviously reacted in the desired way and FZ went back into his former position and things seemed to work out right
again...
