Does Humour Belong In Music?

As I was saying, the other night, I stuck on this CD for the first time in a while (I had discounted it in favour of its accompanying DVD) and was
blown away by the quality of the performance. The guitar interplay is sublime, and Wackerman (despite using an electronic drum kit) manages to
competently rattle his way through all of the material.
Superb renditions of Zoot Allures, Tinsel-Town Rebellion, Trouble Every Day and Whippin' Post (among others), and a completely unexpected runthrough
of WPLJ! No overdubs, either.
So yeah. Discuss the greatness of this much under-appreciated live document.

I agree with you. After having the video, before the DVD came out, I would watch it quite a bit, and when the Cd was finally re-released, it became
one of my favourite examples of the 8 band.....Great versions of Zoot, Penguin and TR on there.....The only thing I would say is that I would have
preferred another track in place of Wackermans solo. Nothing to do with the electronic drums, I just think that as a solo it isnt that hot, meaning,
hes done alot better......Rant over, great album!!!

Love it! Cleveland's a great melody, and I was happy I got a lengthy version of it. I was also very entertained by the sneer at MTV, and CockSucker's
Ball's dedication to all the republicans in the audience. And, as a Dweez fan, I love Whippin' Post.

yeah, the version of Tinseltown Rebellion on DHBIM is my favourite version too....Far better than the one on TR itself IMO...

Indeed. On DHBIM? the guitars are crunchier than an anteater sandwich. On TTR (even the remaster), the synths seem to squash everything.
