Not really, no. My sister was fan of them, so I've heard them a wee bit too much.

Liked em at the time of Bleach, but then they blew up and became sooo overplayed and annoying.....I rarely venture back to their albums, gotta be honest...

I know there is, I've heard A LOT of Nirvana, and Kurt Cobain's voice is way too harsh for me. Plus I don't like their guitar sound.

They were huge when I was in high school and I kind of liked their albums back then. Although I'm not a major fan, I dol think they wrote a couple of great and catchy rock songs.

I've always really disliked the deification of Kurt Cobain after his death, though, turned me away from their stuff for a couple of years.

Hey kids! Do you hear that sound? . . . Freaks will be coming from miles around!

I agree man, always bound to ruin any band for casual outsiders....

I never really got into nirvana until I was past my teen angst stage of life. Wait a second, I didn't have one of those stages...

Anyway, then I started listening and I now find that i really dig most of Kurt's lyrics (they really are sort of witty and intelligent), his phrasing of words, the overall grunge sound, and Mr. Grohl's playing.

Any one who helps put a stop to that GOD FUCKING AWFUL hair-metal-jumpsuit music of the eighties (i'm looking at you Twisted Sister and Van Halen) are in my good books.

Twisted Sister and Van Halen rule man....."Grunge" or whatever the fuck it was didnt put a stop to it at all......Ok, so you dont like 80s rock / metal, but Im afarid as a form of entertainment, those bands tower above the droning whining shite of Kurt Cobain et al......Im glad he and they are not around anymore. Seriously. I think he did the right thing.

I did like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains a lot back in the day. The only major grunge band I can't stomach at all is Pearl Jam, with that preachy Bono wannabe Eddie Vedder.

I mean, alot of those kinds of bands have their own charm....But what the fuck is "grunge"?....Sure does just sound like rock music to me.....
