That's right. Korn was the opening act, thought they sucked at the time... (still do).
Hey kids! Do you hear that sound? . . . Freaks will be coming from miles around!

Aww... poor dear...
I saw Primus in July 1998 in Eindhoven. Skeleton Key opened. I didn't see much of them because when I arrived at the Effenaar I discovered I forgot my
ticket...

Yeah, Herb was still behind the kit in '95. We were standing direct in front of the stage, watching Les' amazig fingers while dodging all the
crowdsurfers behind us.
Can't remember all that much from the setlist, I think they played lots of tunes from the 'Punchbowl' album, as well as a couple of earlier songs. I
do remember that they played 'Harold of the rocks', which was one of my favorite Primus tunes then.

Harold's great, one of my favourites...
When I went, they played Kalamazoo, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, Grandpa's Little Ditty, something else with the upright, Tommy the Cat, Those Damned
Blue Collar Tweekers which was brutally interrupted by a dance contest, My Name Is Mud, and loads of stuff I didn't recognize.
When MNIM played, my sister started singing along loudly, so I joined in. At that point, Les lifted his sunglasses and looked very sharply in our
direction, I'm sure he looked at me. I looked down on myself and discovered I was wearing a yellow T-shirt with a huge Minnie Mouse on it... very
embarrassing. After the song, I made my way to the T-shirt seller.

Can't remember his name... but some Dutch guy plays a nine-string bass! How big your hands have to be for that neck!

PPRRRRIIIIMMMMUSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! nup never heard of em.
My impression of the bass-line for Jerry:
a-hem: "Dakow-gu-dakow, dum-dum gudagadow".
I have always had a dream to be in a primus-like band, who could go in some "Battle of the bands" thing and just mercilessly murder every other band
(figuratively speaking). They would all be doing their gay emo-punk shit and then we would come on... ahh that would be so cool.
Side note: this is what i play
Actually that little pineapple guy sort of looks like me. It has my eyes.

BBP, have you heard the Sausage album? The bass-line on "Girls For Single Men" is one of my all time favourites.

'Fraid not... I've seen it lying around once, but I didn't get it out of... ehm... feduciary reasons.
My favourite bass line is SouthBound Pachyderm, which I attemt to play on good ol' sparkly Alonzo.

Ooh...BBP..you've got a Hamer...nice?
I've been spending a bit of time on the Hamer forum...it's fun
I've got the horn for a Hamer...maybe an early Sunburst or a Newport
Anyway...I like Primus..I've got about 5 albums plus the Sausage album
I mainly listen to Frizzle Fry and the one with the cover tunes (Rhinoplasty?)
I haven't had a chance to listen to 'em all properly yet 'cos I got 'em as a job lot
(I'm an auction hound)
I had the Brown album, but I thought it was a bit samey, I think I turfed it
I bought the DVD, too...that's a ripper!!
Humour does belong in music...that's why I like 'em

There's two albums, well, one album and one EP, with cover songs. Rhinoplasty with The Thing That Should Not Be, and Miscellaneous Debris with some
Peter Gabriel, some Meters, some XTC, some Pink Floyd and some Residents.
I felt I got ripped off with the Hallucino Genetics DVD: the images are very tough to see. I wanted to see Claypool playing SouthBound Pachyderm, but
you just can't see those fantastic hands of his.
The "Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People" DVD is splendid, though.
Either way, I have all Primus albums, all Possessed albums, Hallucino Genetics DVD, Oysterhead, Highball w/t Devil, a Primus poster, two Primus
t-shirts, 5 Primus coasters, 26 Primus beerglasses, 1 Primus beerbottle, 2 Primus toothbrushes... I used to be a diehard Primus-fan before I decided
to listen to their influences and encountered FZ.
How's Sausage? I'd like to have that, but it's not around much.

Hi BBP,
Seems like you like Primus a bit....
I'll see if I can find that Sausage album...did you ever see the videoclip?
They were riding bicycles suspended in mid-air...
and their heads were all sticking through a big parachutey thing...it was wacky
I had some other Les Claypool album, too...I'll see if I can find it...
edit: I noticed you mentioned it...Highball with the Devil...heh

I don't like Highball too much... most songs get annoying half-way.
Never seen the Sausage-clip I'm afraid...

I still have the Sausage album on tape somewhere, haven't heard it in years but I remember that it was quite ok. I didn't like the "Brown Album" all
that much when it came out, but I've warmed up to that one over the years.
A friend of mine is also a hardcore Primus collector, so I've heard most of the official stuff. Most disappointing Claypool release must be that
"Live frogs" album where he's covering Pink Floyd's "Animals' note by note. Totally pointless release.

I've heard lots of bad stuff from the live Frogs. A lot of fellow Primus-fans I know claim they have bootlegs that have better quality.
I've only seen the live Frog set once in store. The CDs cost an astonishing 60 guilders each.

I'm not too interested in the Frogs... heard some of their stuff and thought it sucked big time. They even messed up Wynona's Big Brown Beaver.
