Well, I'm listening to Frizzle Fry right now. And if you think about it carefully, Les doesn't REALLY sing on this, it's more like reciting lyrics
than really singing them. More similar to Shabba Ranks than to Chris Cornell.

Maybe... Especially in Speghetti Western I think you're right. In later versions (say on the DVD Hallucino-Genetics which has the entire Frizzle Fry
album) Les is singing, and that's not always a good thing.
That's a poor DVD anyway; the music is OK, but the video is poorly directed; most of it is dark, and all filming is done from quite a distance.

Though on their original web-site I once downloaded a short one-minute MP3 where the band is playing Frizzle Fry, then someone spits on Les, and Les
then gets really very mad. Quite funny...

Antipop is imo their worst album. On the PrawnSong forum it got a lot of negative heat, most often over monotonous drumming and Fred Durst.
You're missing Pork Soda... got some awesome songs! My Name Is Mud is an absolute classic and the only Primus video I ever saw on MTV.
There's a new Primus release said to be coming late this year... Unfortunately the odds are it will be a best of album.

I love the production on that album. The drums sound unbelievable. My favourite track has to be "welcome to this world".
and i was disappointed in antipop as well, but the tom waits thing at the end is great.

Yeah Antipop has some good songs, like Eclectic Electric and Heckler... but the production is horrible, not to mention the drums... It also has the
Worst Primus Song, Momma Didn't Raise No Fool.
Welcome to this World is the best Primus song I can think of to use to introduce someone to them.It's such a neat song!

I'm mildly depressed. I knew in January that there was a new album coming up in the autumn, and to find out it'll just be a compilation (with great
packaging, have to admit that), well, that sucks. After Claypools untastic solo release, a book and a movie out, production on Gabby Lala and stuff,
I'm losing my faith in the guy. Especially after reading that interview with him in BPM.

My friend played me the latest Claypool album this weekend. Personally, I kind of liked it so I might pick it up eventually. Nothing groundbreaking,
but pretty okay in my book. Greatest Hits albums always smack of 'contractual obligation' type stuff, though... no need to pick that one up for
me.
It is kind of disappointing that either Les or Primus aren't coming to Europe. Guess they can fill much larger venues over in the US, unfortunately
for us European people.

Maybe... There's one song called One Better that I like, until the solo sax, then I'm tired of it. The rest is a bit of a bore.
It's really interesting how that buzztone on Diesel got on the album, it's so  ing annoying. Since it's only on the right channel and occasionally disappears I guess it has to do with Les's partial deafness. So
I'm wondering if it's elsewhere on it.

Got the Blame It On The Fish DVD. Since I'm no longer going to the Primus forum I'll post my ramblings here.
BIOTF is an interesting documentary on the Primus Tour The Fromage from 2003. It has some neat music scenes, interview segments and
behind-the-scenes-filming. The best part is still a part of the bonus, the Primus 2065 documentary. It's supposed to have been compiled in 2065. For
some segments, Les in make-up looking 102 is being interviewed. Most intriguing.
I also found Zingers in a store. I had a good look at it. It didn't have the Cheddar-cheese artwork from the pictures I knew. It was just yellow with
cheese-like holes, with band name and compilation name in small print in a corner, plain yellow back without track titles, booklet without artwork,
dull introductory text by some unknown guy...
Considering that apart from Shake Hands With Beef, every version is in "original" state (the way they appear on the respective CDs), the artwork was
too ugly for Primus standards (no clay statue?!) and it cost E 21.99 (= $26,40) I left it there.
