Well I've listened to them both now. First: the Go! Team. The Go Team are nearly the most American sounding British band i've ever heard. Actually, there more of a collective than a band. Husker Du should be spelt with little double dots on the u's. I don't know what the technical name is. This is (I think) their second or third album and was released in 1985. It's the kind of thing where you have no idea what the guy is singing but you sing along anyway. And the guitar playing is something else.

Actually U with umlaut becomes an Uuuuu sound, and I'm not aware of such a sound in English. German regular U sounds like OO.
