I must admit i knew very little about Syd and the early days of Pink Floyd until a couple of months ago. I watched a great documentary about Syd's
life and music. I remember thinking about what a great lyricist he was and his wonderful imagination. And also the way you can hear how his musical
voice really shaped the PF sound even after he wasn't a member anymore.
And there's that story about how Roger and Nick and David hadn't seen Syd for a decade or so, and then he suddenly appears at the Shine On sessions
overweight and bald standing or sitting in a corner of the studio. None of the guys had any idea who this guy was until someone mentioned that Syd
Barrett was around.
Very sad.

Well I don't know any of his solo records and I don't really like his Pink floyd records, but anyway it's always sad to see a creator waste his talent
and disappear.

It is always sad to lose creative people. I personally find the Barrett - Floyd albums alot more entertaining ( and alot less depressing ) than the
rest of PFs catalogue......
