One of my favourite Merzbow albums, for sure. Just managed to pick up Antimonument ( a really early analogue Merz release ), havent had chance to
check it out yet though....

Gojira or anyone else here, do you know a King Crimson record that sounds very modern, almost industrial ala Ministry or NIN ? I think this record was
released in the 70's, but that's all the clues I can give you. If one of you could help me... |
could it be Discipline?

1969 06 06 London, first half
one of the last shows of the early Mothers
songlist:
01 Uncle Meat 3:23
02 drum duet 1:38
03 Some Ballet Music (primarily the horn section doing the part of greggory peccary 'if it's wide enuf, everyone will know, that the tie I'm wearing
is a symbol of how nimble my mind will grow . . .' and later joined with percussion, 4:57
04 improvisation (much of this is very similar to that found at the beginning of the bbc king kong vid from '68, wish I had a video of this tho)
6:53
05 Big Leg Emma 2:35
06 Pound For A Brown intro, Frank tells the story of California surfers and their clothes and their station wagons with the panelling on the side
'which' Frank says, 'gets ya a lot of pussy', to a London audience, and the cultural varieties of the ever popular moon or 'brown out' and thus the
name of the song; he then goes on to explain the different sections of the song as acting in place of visual aids, explaining the traffic, the buses,
the roundabouts and the circumstances of this particular exchange between Jimmy Carl Black and Bunk Gardner: 6:40
07 Pound For A Brown ; remember the sound of the guitar on weasels? there ya go, 6:10
08 Sleeping In A Jar 14:18
09 Interlude 3:43
sound quality reminds me of old skool AM radio broadcasts, but the high end is sharp, I mean charp and clean, for the most part. In other words there
seems to be a particular higher end frequency that seems natural, like what you'd hear in the hall that day but the rest seems compressed, clipped and
or like the tape has gone thin

I don't think so, I've heard a few excerpts from Discipline and it didn't remind me of anything.

Dont think it could be Discipline, Three Of A Perfect Pair or Beat, or indeed any 80s KC....My guess is The Konstruktion Of Light. I cant see a 70s
Crimson album being tagged Industrial? If so, its an inaccurate tag. "Industrial" is such an over - used term

Camper Van Chadbourne, Let's Make The Water Turn Black/Absolutely Free medley from 20 years ago. As good an example of what I freaked out on 20 years
ago. Great Album. So is Eugene Von Beethoven. The one from 2001, has got a studio and a live version of Milestones as well as a Donovan song and a
great jam of Funkadelic's Wiggles The Worm!!!!!!!!

I v'e got 1930, Amlux, Merzdub, Merzbuddha and Merzbird now. and I ve listened to Music for bondage performance. My favourite is 1930, I like Amlux a
lot, but I think 1930 is more violent and I really like that. Merzbird and Merzbuddha are fine but not as good as 1930 in my opinion. I'm gonna buy
more records cause I've become a fan now. I don't know which yet, but I think Batzoutai is going to be one of them if no-one buys it before me.

npr, all things considered, a late afternoon two-hour show where they give three to eight minute newsstory segments. With single four-minute news
wrap-ups that originate from the central day-long thread every 30 minutes.
the current segment at the end of this two-hour 'show' is about a new film -- is it a tv show? I'm not sure -- on the Queen of England, Elizabeth.
They're talking with the actress portraying her.
